Darlings, don't miss Roshani & Parshva's long-awaited wedding bash in today's Platinum Guide Blog!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
My husband and I met when we were in high school, but we didn't start dating until after college. We talked every so often but since we went to different universities we didn't see each other much until we moved back home. I think I knew he was "the one" after our first "official" date. We had already become very close as friends so taking our relationship to the next level was a very natural transition.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I knew my husband was going to propose some time in 2018, I just wasn't sure when. That is, until he walked into my house at 7:30am on a Saturday wearing a dress shirt and blazer. That kinda gave it away. He took me to Navy Pier and proposed in the ferris wheel when we got to the top. Even though I knew it was coming, I still couldn't stop myself from crying my eyes out. Our proposal was private, but we met up with our family and friends afterwards to celebrate. It was one of the happiest days of my life.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We had a lot of help from our family. We both have sisters and cousins who were so helpful when it came to finding the perfect venue, vendors, and decor theme. We were also determined to stick to our budget as much as we could. My husband was extremely helpful with this as he is very organized when it comes to planning and finances. Things can get crazy and add up with all of the events, vendors, gifts, etc. but he had this awesome spreadsheet that he used to keep track of it all.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew from the beginning that I didn't want to wear red. I saw an outfit online that was made by an Indian designer and I fell in love. I was able to find another designer through Instagram who could re-create any Indian outfit and decided to give them a chance. They were my first stop when I went to Mumbai. I actually didn't look at any other bridal outfits while I was in India, I knew what I wanted and I had to have it. I'm so happy with the decision I made and how my outfit turned out.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The food tastings! We loved sampling all of the different items and creating a menu of our favorites.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The entertainment. We are so lucky to have family and friends who went above and beyond with emceeing, performances, and speeches.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There so many that come to mind, but the one that sticks out most is our first dance together as husband and wife. Everything about that moment was perfect.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy the planning process and delegate! You spend about a year planning your wedding and even though it can feel stressful at times it will be over before you know it. It's important to take things one day at a time and ask your family and friends for help when you need it. This will make the whole process go smoother and your loved ones will also be happy that they were able to be a part of your big day.

Goa, India Indian Wedding by Camera Crew India

Good morning, Maharanis! We hope you've had a wonderful weekend and that you have recharged batteries because we have an inspiring wedding celebration you don't want to miss! This time, we are starting the week by taking you on a visual trip to Goa, India, to enjoy Malvika & Apurv's wedding bash. So, get yourselves ready, because what is coming right ahead will take your breath away. Let's start by looking at the mesmerizing wedding ceremony held at the Zuri White Sands and fully decored by Dawn to Dusk Events. This striking venue became the perfect place for Malvika & Apurv to tie the knot in the company of their family and friends while having a marvelous sunset as their wedding backdrop. Simply amazing! There was so much beauty overflowing from every angle of this ceremony that anywhere you looked, it had perfection written all over the place. Same perfection and beauty we found in our gorgeous Maharani. She trusted her beauty needs to Zeetra Bridal Makeup, who made her look like a goddess. Their spectacular work is so impressive, and we cannot stress how much we loved it. But that is not all! Malvika went a little further to achieve her dreamy bridal look and trusted her fashion needs to Malasa, Prevasu, and Manish Malhotra, all big players in the fashion game. After the ceremony, there was an epic reception party, and it was so spectacular that we found ourselves lost in words to describe it. Thankfully, our good friends from Camera Crew India were there to capture all the amazingness. So wait no more, and get ready to visit today's full gallery!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The proposal came as a complete surprise. We were in Croatia (we had just finished visiting Kiev and Prague), staying at the Dubrovnik Palace where our room was overlooking the Adriatic. My now husband told me the hotel was hosting a special event that we should attend. So after a great day of sightseeing, I went to get ready for this "event". I was taking my time getting ready (not realizing the urgency of what would be a beautiful sunset proposal), but my husband insisted we go downstairs early to check out the view before it got too dark. As we made our way downstairs, we walked outside and he grabbed my hand and led me to a private beach terrace. There I saw a red carpet leading to a table with champagne and flowers. He led me down the red carpet, got on one knee and proposed. Right then a photographer, who had been hiding behind the beach rocks, came out and took pictures of the magical moment! He then led me to an area with a private dining space in a Michelin star restaurant with our very own string quartet playing for us as the sun set. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, it was truly a dream proposal come true.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I had been looking at bridal lenghas from the first day we started wedding planning! I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, the color I wanted, and the stores I wanted it from. After a couple days of looking around though, I still could not find the 'one'. The dresses just didn't have that special 'this is it' feeling. I felt frustrated, but then I wandered inside the Manish Malhotra store and saw this gorgeous gold lehenga displayed in the window and fell in LOVE! When I tried it on, I just knew this was going to be my bridal lengha no matter what. I just knew I couldn't walk down the aisle wearing anything else!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We planned the entire wedding with our guests in mind! Since this was a destination wedding, we really wanted our guests to think of it as a vacation and have the best time! We wanted each event to be interactive as possible, with games and dancing, and our guests really loved that! We started off with icebreaker games during high-tea for both the brides and grooms side to mix and get to know each other followed by the sangeet which had amazing dance performances! The next day, we had a poolside haldi with games like beer pong, darts, flip cup, pool volleyball, etc, followed by a wedding overlooking the beach during sunset, and a reception filled with more games and endless dancing.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

There is not a single part of the entire wedding that we do not think about almost every single day. My husband and I will always cherish the fact that we had friends and family travel from all over the world, stay all together in one resort, and celebrate with us every step of the way! The memories are going to last us a lifetime.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Do not stress over the details, you are the only one that will even notice if things are not going according to plan. The memories are not in the details, they are in the fact that all your loved ones have all gathered in one place to celebrate you and the incredible journey you are about to embark in marrying the love of your life. The things you remember the most are the laughter, dancing and good times, so make sure to remember to have a good time!!

What a great way to start this week! Don't forget to join us tomorrow for more.

Atlanta, GA Indian Wedding by Jamie Howell Photography

Happy Friday, beauty queens! Can you believe how fast this week slipped through our fingers? It is unbelivable! Today, we want to start getting ready for the weekend by taking a look at Sanjida & Mohammad's wedding celebrated during the quarantine. So, get ready to have your hearts melted with tenderness and joy over this awe-inspiring event! Due to COVID-19, these lovebirds' entire wedding plans had to change. While this unfortunate situation could have made almost every other couple feel down and postpone their wedding, it only motivated Sanjida & Mohammad to unite their lives in marriage even with more eagerness. So, they embraced change, came up with a whole new plan, and decided to carry on with their wedding, making the necessary arrangements to comply with all safety measurements! The wedding took place at the Al-Farooq Masjid in Atlanta, GA, where these lovebirds surrounded themselves by their immediate family members. And all we have to say is that this intimate celebration was as meaningful as inspiring! Our gorgeous Sanjida burst into the scene, looking like a princess after being glamorized by Sumiyah Simji, who created a fabulous makeup and hairstyle that praised this Maharani's innate beauty. To complement this head-turning look, Sanjida donned a gorgeous attire from Mumtaz Fashion and got a spectacular Mehndi outlined by Manasi's Art / Hennafy Me. Hands down, a dreamy look for this long-awaited day! Ladies, if you want to enjoy all the beauty surrounding this wedding, don't miss all the captivating shots captured by Jamie Howell Photography in today's gallery. It is a visual delight that will surely take your breath away!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met the groom 4 years ago through some mutual friends and out of the 4 years, we did a long-distance relationship for 3 years. The bond that was formed over the 4 years and how we have been there for each other, helped me know that he was the one.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
It was my final semester at Georgia Tech, being a final semester electrical engineering student and planning a wedding at the same time are really difficult.
The experience was good with the makeup and hair. It was done by Sumiyah. Took a little longer than expected. I wanted an updo for my hair but due to time constraints we had to settle for a much simpler one.
The actual wedding dress never arrived on time so that was not a good feeling but we were set on the date we picked and we wanted to get married to we went ahead and did it.
Manasi did an amazing job doing my henna and I was more than happy with it. She took her time but listened to exactly what I wanted and followed through.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always wanted my wedding dress to be Ivory color. Funny story that my actual wedding dress did not come through due to the whole COVID-19 situation so we had to get a dress from the local store.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Planning a wedding is quite stressful if you're doing it during a global pandemic. Rather than being enjoyable, it was rather hectic knowing if it was gonna fall through or now.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Due to COVID-19, the entire wedding plan had to be cancelled. So the wedding took place we Al-Farooq mosque in Atlanta, GA with only about 10 people, our immediate family memebers

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I think the most special moment that I keep remembering is the first look I saw on my husband's face when he saw me the first on the wedding day and the big smile that he had when we were pronounced husband and wife.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don't try to do everything yourself. Let others help you but make sure they know what exactly you are expecting and the same goes with the wedding planner, the makeup artist, and all the other things. Make sure you do good research on their work and if they would actually fulfill all the requirements

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Most of the things about this wedding fell through due to the COVID-19 situation which is why I don't have much info. I wanted a big wedding just like everyone else but what mattered the most was I was marrying the person I love and that's the most important thing. Having the nikkah ceremony with the people who care the most had to be one of the best feelings ever and I would not have it any other way.

Enjoy your weekend, ladies! See you on Monday for more.

Boutique Hotels... The Chicest Way to Have an Indian Wedding

Boutique hotels are the fresh, new place Indian brides are looking to have their dream Indian weddings, and we see the trend continuing for at least the next few years. As weddings become more intimate, brides are looking for high-end properties that will give them all the luxe details they desire but with a unique, individualized touch. From beaming ocean views to specialty spa services and culinary delights, brides -especially brides who have been planning during the pandemic- only want the very best in service, class, and excellence.

Be the Belle of the Ball

With boutique hotels, your wedding is the only wedding taking place that weekend, which means that you'll have the place all to yourself. You can choose from any of the ceremony locations or get creative and bring new ideas to untapped potential areas. Cocktails on a rooftop, dinner by the pool, a ceremony on a garden, or near the gazebo with light bites to follow, the possibilities are endless!

Personalized Attention

At boutique hotels, the staff strives to roll out the red carpet and provide sophisticated service to each one of their guests. No detail is too small to be overlooked, from food preferences to accommodations, especially for children. With family-oriented culture, the well-trained staff at boutique hotels inclines to be at your service. Aimed always to please, boutique hotels take pride in getting to know their guests up close and personal, even the four-legged variety!

Instagram Angles at Every Corner

Brimming with unparalleled style, boutique hotels are some of the most aesthetically pleasing sites to capture memorable wedding images. These hotels are cohesively designed between indoor and outdoor spaces, color palettes, and art collections, making your images pop on every post. A typical boutique hotel will show off an extraordinary architecture, unlike other hotels you have seen in the past.

All Under the Same Roof

As a guest, nothing surpasses the ease and convenience of staying at the hotel where the wedding is taking place. Transitioning between your mehndi, sangeet, ceremony, reception, and farewell brunch makes the overall wedding experience stress free. Enjoyment will be high, and your wedding will stand out from the crowd as one of the best wedding experiences.

Intimate and Exclusive

Known for being quaint, boutique hotels are made to cater to your wedding guests. Indian weddings can cause quite a stir, and coupled with curious hotel guests who usually want more than a glimpse, your wedding can feel more like a spectacle than a memorable, intimate, and special event. Boutique hotels easily shield weddings from uninvited onlookers and the occasional wedding crasher because you never know who will show up.

Best Locations in Area

Boutique Hotels are smaller and take up less place, so they can often tuck away into a cliffside or squeeze into the center of the city in locations that cannot be surpassed. You are choosing a prime location for your wedding, not to mention that the easy access to activities is essential to provide your guests with things to occupy themselves during the days leading up to the celebration. Whether it is a gorgeous beach or world-class shopping, guests will savor their time exploring the local areas making your wedding truly memorable.

Affordable Pricing

The best part about a boutique hotel is the fact that they are very similar to best in class hotel pricing, all while offering you a more customized wedding experience!

So follow us on Instagram and see some of our favorite Boutique Hotels for your Indian wedding!
