Babylon, NY Indian Wedding by A.S. Nagpal Photography

Good morning, darlings! Can you believe how fast this week slipped through our fingers? It seems like we went from Monday to Friday in just the blink of an eye! And you know that we always have something special for you to start getting ready for the weekend, and today is no exception! This time around, we are excited to share with you all the beauty and intimacy that surrounded Sheetal & Varun's wedding celebration. Initially, these lovebirds planned to get married in the paradisiacal landscapes of Mexico, in a big wedding bash with over 300 guests. However, due to the emergence of COVID-19, plans had to change. Sheetal & Varun decided to keep the same wedding date they initially had, and instead of having a huge celebration, they had a small and intimate pooja in Sheetal's backyard. To comply with the safety measurements regarding social distancing, only 10 people attended the wedding. Still, over 400 people were celebrating along with the newlyweds as the wedding streamed via Zoom. All guests and online viewers enjoyed every single moment of the celebration and were utterly amazed by the ravishing look of our gorgeous Maharani. She wore the same wedding lengha her mother used for her wedding, and if that doesn't say tradition and love, few things will! The cherry on top of this gorgeous bridal look was the artistic Mehndi outlined by Henna For All, which added an extra touch of flair to an already swoon-worthy look! We know that planning a wedding is not easy, let alone plan a wedding ceremony under the current circumstances! So we want to make a big shoutout to Stylish Events for the perfect planning, decor, and execution of this intimate wedding affair. The attention to detail they had was outstanding, resulting in a dreamy celebration that exceeded all of Sheetal & Varun's expectations. Check more of this lovely celebration by taking a look at the fabulous shots captured by A.S. Nagpal Photography in today's marvelous gallery! It is the perfect preamble for you to get ready for a weekend full of love and inspiring ideas!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Vinnie calls me early Saturday morning on July 13, 2020 asking if I wanted to go to Fire Island with his family for lunch. I said sure, so he said okay I will be at your house at noon be ready. Of course he shows up and as usual I am still in PJ's watching Food Network, and he is yelling we are going to miss the Ferry! I said why are we going so early, and all the way to Fire Island for just lunch. Vinnie says his family wants to see Fire Island, and mentions since we love Fire Island, why not meet them and show them around. So I got ready, and we were on our way to meet them. ( Of course, I took forever curling my hair and made us miss the 12 o'clock ferry he had planned with everyone)

We get to the dock, and we continue to walk to the boat, and Vinnie says "Let's sit on the top, its so nice out" and I am no way ready to sit on the top of this boat after I just did my hair for the past hour, as he explains "who sits downstairs when its such a beautiful day!" So I finally agreed and we sit on the top of the ferry and we are now on our way to Ocean Beach. We are enjoying the breeze and all of a sudden the boat completely stops! I look over to Vinnie and say, I think there is a problem with the Ferry, its not moving! He looks at me and says calm down "I'm sure everything is fine", then I hear the anchor drop, and now I begin to PANIC!

I look over to Vinnie, and see him down on one knee, the captain on the loud speaker announcing our engagement and congratulating us! Everyone is screaming and clapping for us and WE ARE NOW ENGAGED !

We port at the dock, and are welcomed by photographers, and then walk over to meet our family for lunch. I couldn't be happier! But that wasn't even close to being over, Vinnie got over 100 of our closest family & friends to surprise ME his fiance for a FRIEND's themed Engagement Party! We continued to celebrate all day & night with everyone we loved surrounding us!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
We planned to have all the big brands for our wedding ! Everything is still pending, but for our 5/15/20 quarantine wedding I was so lucky to wear my mom's wedding lehenga! It was amazing to see how beautiful it was after 35 years !

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Though this time is very chaotic and stressful, and we cant have the dream weddings we planned when this process started. Sit back, and think to yourself, what would be your perfect memory with these circumstances, and then do everything in your power to make the vision come to light!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I am so thankful to all my wonderful vendors, that went above and beyond for me during the Covid Lock down ! Mehndi in the garage, my photographer wore a mask for the entire ceremony and photo shoot, my decor company came to my house the day before, and morning of to avoid the chances of rain, everyone went above and beyond to make my day beautiful!

We hope you have an awesome weekend in the company of your loved ones. Stay safe, and don't forget to join us on Monday for more!

Jaipur, India Indian Wedding by Twogether Studios

Happy Thursday, Maharanis! We hope you are ready for an adventure because we are taking you on a visual journey to Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, to enjoy all the beauty and amazingness that surrounded Anoushka & Sagar's 2-day wedding celebration. If you've been following us for quite a while, you know that we have a special place in our hearts for weddings in India as there is nothing quite as heart-warming than seeing a love story come to life in the very same place where our dearest traditions started. So, you can imagine how thrilled we were when this ode to love and extravaganza came into our editorial desks! And we were dying to share it with you. So, let's start this journey by heading to the Jaipur Marriott Hotel, the place chosen by our lovebirds to host all pre-wedding events as well as the outdoor ceremony. And oh boy, this venue was the perfect place for Anoushka & Sagar to start their everlasting married life. There was so much beauty, traditional flair and love overflowing from the ceremony, that anywhere you looked, perfection was written all over the place. It was the same perfection and beauty that we found in our gorgeous Maharani Anoushka, who walked down the aisle dressed in a fashionable lengha designed by Manish Malhotra and rocking a glamorous makeup and sleek hairstyle created by Saniya Shahdadpuri. After the ceremony, all guests joined the newlyweds at the Taj Land - Mumbai to celebrate their life milestone with an epic reception party! This closing gala had such a personal and unique touch to it, as Anoushka's father recited a beautifully written poem for his daughter while Sagar's Mom sang a lovely melody for the newly married couple. And we can't stop thinking of how lucky these two are for having such great friends and a beautiful family that loves them so much! In between all the dancing, the emotional speeches, and the delicious food, the night got to an end. But we don't want to go without giving a huge shoutout to the talented team from All That Jazz, who were major contributors in making this wedding celebration as epic as it was. They did not only rendered their services as a travel concierge and wedding planner, but they designed the entire wedding affair and took care of the lighting and catering as well! So big kudos to them! If you want to check more of this celebration, don't miss this breathtaking gallery, and the cinematographic delight featured in today's Video Blog. They are both creations of Twogether Studios, so you already know that it is going to be more than extraordinary!

If you've been following us for quite a while, you already know that there is something extraordinary about Indian fusion weddings that we love so much, so you can imagine how happy we were when this wedding came into our hands. As soon as we took a glance at Anita & Bryan's big wedding bash, we knew this was one story that we wanted to share with you. The Hilton Columbus at Easton nested the beginning of this everlasting love story, transforming its halls into a cornucopia of elegance and traditional flair, thanks to the minimalist, yet striking decor crafted by Prema Designs. The floral arrangements and soft-colored linens wrapped around the room set the mood for the solemn wedding ceremony that united these two lovebirds in marriage. It was such a gorgeous combination of tradition and modern flair that all guests adored! And talking about flair, we cannot forget to mention the fantastic look of our lovely Anita! She burst into the room wearing a gorgeous red lengha and looking like royalty after been pampered by Cleveland Makeup Artist. After the ceremony concluded, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds with a luxurious reception party enlivened by Masala Entertainment, who put everyone to dance. The only time the dancing stopped was to enjoy the mouth melting cake baked by Le Gateau. After having a nite of the sweet dessert, Young Hearts owned the stage and entertained everyone with their live performance! Hands down, this was Anita & Bryan's dream wedding celebration, so big kudos to Joie de Vivre Events, for taking our lovebirds' vision and making it a reality as this is a talent available just to a handful of experienced planners! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Rav and I met through Shaadi.com. A full-on arranged marriage which turned into love in no time. I was hesitating but he was always there to support my family and I.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I wanted my wedding outfit to be traditional. So, it had to be bright red. My dad understood my vision for my lengha and made sure the workers in India were seeing it to and got my lengha made exactly how I wanted it without even being there. No fitting/ no pictures- I originally shared my idea with the worker and rest was up to my dad and the workers who made my dream come true.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was doing it with family. It was not just my special day it was also my families too. We did it together!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Being the youngest in my family, everyone had a lot of expectations of the events being fun. My family flew from Canada, Indiana, England, Vancouver, and even India to share my special day with me.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
At the end of the reception night, Every single person was on the dance floor, dancing the night away. I was surrounded by people who loves me.

What a great way to start this week, isn't it ladies? Remember that we have new stories every day, so make sure to join us tomorrow to get your daily dose of inspiration!
