Some love stories feel like they were written long before the couple ever met—and for Priya & Remi, theirs began on a Caribbean island during the very first days of medical school. Priya still remembers the moment she first noticed Remi flying past island traffic on a white dirtbike, cinematic in every sense of the word. Later that same day, fate intervened again when the two crossed paths at a small food stand perched beside a cliff overlooking the ocean. After waiting in line for lunch, Remi looked up, smiled, and invited Priya to join him. What started as a simple lunch became the beginning of a love story rooted in friendship, resilience, and unwavering companionship.
Through endless nights of studying, hidden beach adventures, and sunset bike rides, the two became inseparable. But beyond the romance was a deeper bond forged through life’s hardest moments. After losing her father just before starting medical school, Priya entered this chapter carrying unimaginable grief. Remi became her steady anchor—offering patience, comfort, and quiet strength while she navigated both heartbreak and the intensity of medical training. Together, they built a relationship grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that they are always stronger side by side.
That same intentionality and emotion carried into their breathtaking wedding weekend. Wanting a venue that felt timeless and transportive, Priya & Remi instantly fell in love with the old-world elegance of Pleasantdale Chateau. Nestled among ivy-covered stone walls and storybook architecture, the historic French château felt less like a venue and more like destiny. Working alongside planner Maranda Ashkar, the couple transformed the weekend into a beautifully curated fusion of Jordanian and Indian traditions, where every event reflected a unique atmosphere while remaining seamlessly connected.
The festivities unfolded across some of New Jersey’s most stunning venues, including Royal Albert’s Palace, The Madison Hotel, and Pleasantdale Chateau itself. The Sangeet burst to life in rich jewel tones, vibrant music, and nonstop dancing beneath glowing chandeliers. Family and friends filled the night with infectious energy, setting the tone for a celebration rooted in joy and togetherness. For the Indian ceremony, the aesthetic shifted into soft romance with delicate florals and elegant pastel hues. Debbie’s Flowers created an ethereal setting that honored tradition while feeling fresh and contemporary. Every detail reflected the couple’s vision of timeless sophistication with modern refinement.
Then came the grand finale: a monochromatic Western ceremony at the château that felt effortlessly chic and impossibly romantic. Clean lines, cascading orchids, and graceful calla lilies transformed the space into a scene of understated luxury. From beginning to end, the entire weekend carried an almost magical sense of ease—as though every moment had aligned exactly as it was meant to.
Fashion played its own starring role throughout the celebrations. Priya stunned in designs by Liz Paul, Riantas, Seema Gujral, and Castle Couture, effortlessly transitioning between bold traditional glamour and sleek contemporary elegance. Each look felt intentional, elevated, and completely reflective of the bride herself. The emotional heartbeat of the wedding, however, came from the families who made it all possible. Priya & Remi credit both of their mothers for pouring endless love, time, and effort into every detail of the weekend. Their support helped create a celebration that was not only visually stunning but also deeply meaningful.
Guests were immersed in a weekend filled with music, culture, laughter, and unforgettable moments on the dance floor. With entertainment by Hank Lane Music and live performances from the Liberty Band, the reception became the kind of celebration guests never wanted to leave—the type where “one more song” turns into an entire night of memories.
Capturing every emotional glance, joyful embrace, and cinematic detail was The Made in Heaven, whose photography and cinematography preserved the weekend with an editorial elegance that perfectly matched the atmosphere of the celebration.
What made Priya & Remi’s wedding truly unforgettable wasn’t simply the grandeur of the venues or the beauty of the décor—it was the heart behind it all. Their wedding was a reflection of healing, resilience, culture, and love. A reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are the ones that fully embrace every layer of who you are and every chapter that brought you together.
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
It was one of the first days of medical school, on a Caribbean island, and I first noticed Remi while on our way to class when I saw him flying down the road passing traffic to school on a white dirtbike- it was like something out of a movie. Later that day, I bumped into him after class at a small area with food vendors where students would get lunch, and it was next to a large cliff overlooking the ocean. We had both waited in line to get food and randomly turned into each other, and when he looked up, he smiled and asked me if I wanted to eat lunch with him. That simple invitation changed everything, and we soon became inseparable. We studied side by side through long nights for endless exams, but we also chased sunsets, biked hidden trails, and found quiet beaches that felt like they belonged only to us.

In medicine, we often lose our 20s and 30s lost in books, exams, and hospitals. For me, I was also lost in grief from losing my father right before I started medical school. I felt alone and abandoned, and at 11:11 every day, I always wished for an angel to find me and save me because what I felt was becoming unbearable. Remi quickly became my anchor and made space for my sorrow, not rushing me through it, reminding me I am not alone. His quiet strength and patience carried me through medical training. As I fulfilled my father's dream, it helped me heal. Through both the intensity of our medical training and the joy of exploring the world side by side. Today, whether we’re puzzling over a complex ICU case or travelling through a remote corner of the globe, our connection thrives on curiosity, courage, and the unshakable feeling that we’re always better together.

We wanted a venue with character, something that could transport us to another time. When we saw the venue, a historic French château, with its timeless beauty and old-world charm, we knew it was the perfect place. Aside from the beautiful venue, it felt like divine intervention when we signed the contract with Fred.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The planning process was both exciting and emotional. We wanted every element to reflect both of our cultures and families. While it was at times overwhelming, seeing it all come together into a weekend of pure joy made every moment worthwhile. The credit truly goes to both of our amazing mothers, who spent the money, time, and effort to see that everything was perfect. I am deeply grateful for that.

We wanted our guests to feel our joy, love, and deep appreciation of their presence on one of the most important days of our lives. We wanted to be surrounded by music and the warmth of family. Blending Jordanian and Indian traditions, our wedding was rich in culture and soul with unforgettable moments of dance and laughter that brought everyone together.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our design was all about timeless elegance with a modern touch. We wanted something classy, contemporary, and clean, and an atmosphere that felt sophisticated yet effortless. We chose orchids and calla lilies for our centerpieces, adding grace and simplicity.
From beginning to end, the day felt so charmed. It was beautiful, effortless, and filled with a kind of luck that made it seem as though it had been waiting just for us.
