New York, NY Indian Wedding by Priyanca Rao Photography

Hello there, Maharanis! We've arrived at Puja & Aditya's grand wedding finale with a fantastic reception party hosted at the exclusive Cipriani Club Residences. Once again, the talented team from Design House Decor showcased all their talent and expertise, creating an enchanting decor that seemed almost surreal. The soft colored floral arrangements, the traditional linens, and the ideal placement of all the ornaments added an extra touch of traditional flair to an already captivating scenario. And we loved every bit of it! To turn this gala into a party, DJ Suhel played the latest Bollywood hits and set the dancefloor on fire! Everyone had a great time dancing, chatting, and tasting the delicious plates prepared by Chef Gaurav Anand and SAAR Catering. The night was coming to an end, but there was still time to take a bite at the mouth-melting delights baked by City Sweets & Confections and 321 Chillz. Hands down, this was a night to remember, and the dreamy reception Puja & Aditya always imagined! If you want to relive this wedding, make sure to visit the gallery that we have prepared for today. We have compiled the best shots captured by Priyanca Rao Photography for your enjoyment. So make sure to check them out, you are going to get inspired!

Welcome back, darlings! Puja & Aditya's real-life fairytale continues, and we have all the details for you to enjoy! For this installment, we'll be taking a look at the big wedding ceremony held inside the halls of The Plaza. But before we get into it, let's join Aditya at the Baraat procession that leads him to the wedding venue. Riding a white horse from Equishare Baraat Horses and joined by his family and friends, this pre-wedding event overflowed with merriment and vibrancy! Without any question, it was the best way to kick off the big wedding day! After the Baraat, it was time to continue with the ceremony that united Puja & Aditya in marriage. Right from the start, we have to say that we loved every single detail surrounding the ceremony! But it is no surprise that everything turned out to be this fantastic as Sonal J Shah Events took care of the planning and execution, while Design House Decor took the wheel on the decor. This winning combination resulted in a magical setting that everyone loved! And we want to make a big shoutout to Priyanca Rao Photography for the shots they captured during this event. Every single shot is a visual masterpiece that showcases all the beauty of this ceremony, making us feel just as if we were there. Check more in today's gallery! You'll love it!

New York, NY Indian Wedding by Priyanca Rao Photography

Happy Tuesday, ladies! We hope your week has been off to a great start! If you were looking for inspiring ideas to start planning your upcoming wedding, you have come to the right place! Puja & Aditya's wedding is an absolute visual delight that you don't want to miss, so let's check it out together! If the names of this lovely couple sound familiar, it is because their wedding was already featured in our Video Blog thanks to the cinematographic delight by Joseph Minasi Studios. Now, it is the turn of Priyanca Rao Photography, to take us on a journey through a romantic outdoor photoshoot leading to the big wedding ceremony held at The Plaza. Both Puja & Aditya attended this photoshoot looking elegantly and fashionably, and we cannot stretch how much we love the look on them! However, it was our lovely Maharani who had all eyes on her thanks to Cinderella Bridez, who took care of her makeup and hairstyle needs. The nude makeup featuring a matte crimson lipstick combined with the sleek hairstyle was a winning combo that praised this Maharani's beauty in such a magnificent way that Aditya couldn't take his eyes off of her! If you can't get enough of this lovely couple, make sure to take a look at the gallery that we have prepared for today! Simply amazing!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Mihir and I met at work during the summer of 2012, I was a summer intern there and he was working full-time. For one of my projects during my internship- I was handing out a questionnaire to each department and that’s when I came into his department and started conversing with him. He had intentionally not written his name on the questionnaire which gave me another reason to talk to him. We clicked right away and started seeing and talking to each other a lot more. A year later, we started dating and have been together ever since then. He always brings the best side of me and is extremely supportive of every decision I make. As the years passed and our relationship became stronger, I realized he was the one. I always wanted to marry someone that is not only my partner but also my best friend with who I can always count on and talk openly with.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Mihir’s proposal plan was to try and recreate our very first date and to go the same place for dinner, take the same walk along the lakeshore, and surprise me where we first sat and talked. Unfortunately Mother Nature’s schedule wouldn’t allow for it to occur on the first day he tried. It began to rain and Mihir wisely chose to change the plan as he knew I wouldn’t like the pictures of the proposal being ruined by rain. He craftily attempted to propose again during the same week, by kneeling to tie his shoes, and I’ll admit I thought that was going to be it, but once again, rain played spoiler. The day he finally proposed, we were walking around the port after having lunch and it was a gorgeous spring day outside, we were indulging on our gelato and i didn’t even realize we had walked to a serene and private area of the lakeshore. He started telling me about how he feels about me and then went on his knees and ended up popping the question. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal because he remembered our first date and mimicked it for the proposal!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
As I have a design background, I always wanted to incorporate a touch of my vision for the wedding which included brainstorming on Monterrey by creating mood boards. I then collaborated with my wedding coordinator, Leanna Burdie by showcasing what I was envisioning with lots of notes and images that best describes what I was looking for. Then she showed me what the resort can offer and we started selecting the decor, linen, layout, etc. I made welcome bags for all the guests that were coming with some snacks, waterproof phone covers, our wedding week itinerary and thank you cards.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I found my Bridal Lengha at The New Delhi Company in Toronto. I wanted to wear a traditional colour but did not want red, so I started exploring other colour options such as burgundy, I also did not want to wear a very heavy Lengha as our wedding venue was on the beach. The day I wore my Bridal Lengha, I knew right away that the outfit is the one!

The other outfits for the rest of my events were from India. Thanks to my mom and masi along with constant FaceTiming her in India during odd hours of the day.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our wedding day, as I was walking down the aisle and saw Mihir - I felt so content and ready to marry the man of my dreams.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Things may not always go as you planned but always remember to cherish and enjoy every moment during your wedding festivities.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Jewelry: India
Decor such as table numbers, welcome drinks sign, entrance table design layout bangles and bindi bar signs for mehendi was designed by me.
The m&p sign for the reception backdrop and cake topper was ordered on Etsy.

We hope you've enjoyed today's featured wedding as much as we did! Have a great rest of the day, and make sure to tune in tomorrow for more!
