Some weddings glow metaphorically. Dhanisha & Keshav's wedding took that assignment quite literally—with nearly 1,000 candles illuminating their mandap as they took seven sacred pheras in the heart of Udaipur. From a joy-filled Haldi to an intimate ceremony wrapped in candlelight, this destination celebration was equal parts tradition, emotion, and modern luxury. Save this one for your wedding inspiration and tell us: would you say "I do" beneath a thousand flickering lights?
For Dhanisha, a Chartered Accountant, and Keshav, an Investment Banker, their wedding represented the coming together of more than two people. They arrived in Udaipur from different cities and individual journeys, bringing their families together at Ramee Royal Resort & Spa for a destination celebration that felt grand without losing its sense of intimacy.
The festivities unfolded across the resort, with the Sangeet, ceremony, and reception each creating another chapter of the couple's wedding story. Udaipur already knows a thing or two about romance, but Dhanisha & Keshav gave the City of Lakes a little competition.
Behind the experience wasSeven Pearls Events, handling both planning and event design.Their vision allowed the celebrations to move naturally between energetic daytime festivities and atmospheric evening rituals while giving each occasion its own personality. The result was an immersive wedding where contemporary elegance complemented Hindu traditions rather than competing with them.
The Haldi was pure, uninhibited joy. Bright colors, flowers, laughter, and plenty of turmeric filled the celebration as friends and relatives enthusiastically joined the fun. Between the carefully planned details came the moments no timeline could manufacture: teasing between friends, spontaneous laughter, affectionate family interactions, and the kind of wonderfully messy Haldi memories that practically demand to be photographed.
Then, as daylight disappeared, everything changed. Nearly 1,000 candles surrounded the mandap, bathing the ceremony in a warm, flickering glow. The scale was breathtaking, but its greatest impact came from how intimate it made the evening feel. Against that luminous backdrop, Dhanisha and Keshav took their seven pheras around the sacred fire as their families looked on.
Throughout the festivities, traditional details remained central to the celebration. Intricate bridal Mehndi by Henna Mehandi Art added another layer of artistry, while jewelry from Tanishq Jewellery complemented the wedding's refined aesthetic. Hub Of Jewellery contributed additional pieces through its rental offerings, allowing fashion and accessories to become part of the visual storytelling woven throughout the events.
Of course, an Indian wedding entrance deserves a little drama of its own. Bharat Band brought the energy to the Baraat, while Dhani Tours & Travels supported transportation throughout the destination festivities. And when the celebrations called for an extra dose of spectacle, Vikram Soni lit up the occasion with fireworks. Because apparently a thousand candles weren't quite enough sparkle for these two—and we're certainly not complaining.
Capturing it all through photography and cinematography was House Of Wedclick.Their storytelling balanced the spectacular scale of the celebration with the emotions unfolding quietly inside it. Wide frames revealed the grandeur of the destination and that unforgettable candlelit ceremony, while intimate photographs preserved the expressions, embraces, and fleeting exchanges that gave the weekend its soul.
And those smaller moments mattered just as much as the showstoppers. A glance across a crowded celebration. A parent's expression during a ritual. Friends laughing after the formalities were finished. The quiet anticipation before the pheras. Dhanisha and Keshav taking a moment to absorb everything happening around them. These are the photographs that eventually become more than wedding images—they become family history.
Dhanisha & Keshav's Udaipur celebration found its magic in balance: luxury without losing warmth, grandeur without overshadowing emotion, and contemporary design without letting go of the Hindu traditions at its heart. Two cities. Two journeys. Seven vows. A thousand lights. One forever.
Save this celebration for when you need proof that more is sometimes better—especially with candles.
