Nestled among Malibu’s natural beauty, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for an evening overflowing with music, laughter, and heartfelt performances.

Multi-day South Asian weddings require extraordinary coordination, but what made this celebration particularly special was how personal it felt. Visually, the wedding was absolutely stunning. Three Petals Floral Design transformed every space into a romantic masterpiece. Lush floral installations, elegant décor, and thoughtful design details created a setting that felt timeless yet contemporary. The wedding ceremony at Calamigos Ranch felt almost cinematic. Surrounded by Malibu's natural beauty, Gunjan & Vikram exchanged vows in a setting that felt both intimate and grand. Gunjan's bridal wardrobe was a dream for fashion lovers. Featuring stunning designs from Liz Paul Official, Preeti S Kapoor, Ali Xeeshan, and Frontier Heritage, each look celebrated South Asian couture at its finest. Every ensemble felt distinct, yet perfectly reflective of her personal style. Her beauty team delivered equally unforgettable results. Hair artist Farah with the Good Hair and makeup artist Ayman Syed created bridal looks that balanced timeless elegance with modern sophistication. As the weekend progressed, the celebration culminated in a black-tie reception at the iconic Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles. The grandeur of the historic venue provided the perfect setting for an evening that felt sophisticated, romantic, and deeply personal. Crystal chandeliers, elegant décor, and a room filled with loved ones created an atmosphere worthy of a love story two decades in the making.

Guests enjoyed incredible cuisine from Diamond Palace and Manohar's Delhi Palace, while desserts from The Cannoli Bar provided a sweet ending to an already unforgettable celebration. Entertainment throughout the weekend was nothing short of extraordinary. Dhamaka Productions delivered high-energy music and stunning lighting production, while Sound Nation kept guests dancing long into the evening. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
met Vikram over 20 years ago, and what began as a friendship steadily grew into something much deeper. Through every chapter of my life—both the highs and the challenges—he was a constant source of support and strength. Over time, I realized that the person I had always been searching for had been right in front of me all

Vikram partnered with my best friend to plan what I thought was her birthday celebration, complete with a dress code and a request for me to arrive early to help decorate. The setting was Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, and everything felt perfectly normal—until I stepped out onto the sand. There, I was met with the most breathtaking proposal setup, with my best friend and her husband standing nearby. As I took it all in, I was even more surprised to discover that our families and closest friends had been watching from a private dining room. What followed was an unforgettable evening filled with love, laughter, and celebration.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning our wedding was an incredibly meaningful and personal experience, made even more special by the people we chose to bring our vision to life. I was fortunate to work with a team that felt more like close friends than vendors. Our wedding planner, Purvee Patel, is someone I had worked with before, and over time, our professional relationship naturally evolved into a true friendship. She understood my vision intuitively and, with the stunning décor by Three Petals, brought it to life in the most beautiful way.

For beauty, I was surrounded by equally talented and trusted friends—Ayman for makeup, Farah for hair, and Neha Assar for henna—all of whom I had worked with many times before. There was an incredible sense of ease in knowing I was in the hands of people I trusted completely, allowing me to truly enjoy every moment.

Choosing our venues was a journey in itself. My fiancé and I explored many options, but the tranquility and natural beauty of Calamigos Ranch immediately stood out—it felt peaceful, intimate, and exactly what we were looking for. We chose it for both our sangeet and wedding, creating a cohesive and serene atmosphere for those celebrations. For our reception, we wanted something entirely different, and the Crystal Ballroom at the Millennium Biltmore in downtown Los Angeles offered the perfect contrast. Its historic charm and grandeur created a timeless, elegant setting to close out the weekend.

Every detail, from the venues to the fashion and beauty, was thoughtfully curated to reflect who we are, and having such a trusted, talented team made the entire experience not only seamless but truly unforgettable.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always wanted to wear a traditional red lengha for the wedding, and I have followed designer Ali Xeeshan for years; my dream was to be dressed in one of his pieces. The lengha is from his bridal collection, and I asked for the veil to be 15 feet long.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Working with people whom I'm fortunate enough to call friends, so there is already trust established. I gave them the ability to bring their own creative visions to life while incorporating my own vision.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The attention to detail at each event, from the variety of food, the wedding favors, the entertainment, and the beauty of the decor and the venues.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking into my reception hall was really a wow moment; the grandeur of the reception hall, the decor, and having the violinist playing was breathtaking. Also watching the first day edit - Velour Studio captured every detail so beautifully and ended the video with us walking into the reception hall. Truly stunning.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Decor was based around each venue and type of event. We kept the sangeet traditional but classy and incorporated colors of a peacock throughout the venue, including the dance floor. The wedding, since it was outdoors and the venue itself is so stunning, I went with white florals and gold chandeliers. Reception - the ballroom itself is so ornate, so I wanted to do something really over the top. We chose serpentine and king-style long tables - each one decorated with candles and red roses. There was a huge tree as soon as you entered the ballroom, with the violinist playing in the middle of the dance floor. Custom bars, dance floors, gold chairs, and our seating wall were insanely beautiful, all black and white with our wedding picture in the center, really highlighting the red in my lengha and transitioning that red into the ballroom.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My biggest piece of advice for brides-to-be is to embrace the moment and not get caught up in perfection. Things may not go exactly as planned, but the truth is, no one will notice the small details the way you do. What matters most is how you feel on that day.
Be present, have fun, and soak in every moment—it truly is one of the most special days of your life. And above all, make sure the person standing next to you is someone you would choose not just for the celebration, but for all of life’s moments. I feel incredibly lucky to have married my best friend, and that, more than anything, is what made the day so meaningful.
