Some weddings make you gasp. Weddings that make you grab your phone and text your bestie, "LOOK AT THIS." And then there's Zi & Ehren's wedding at The Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA—a multicultural celebration so full of love, elegance, and meaningful details, it deserves its own Netflix miniseries. This fantastic venue proved to be the perfect stage for such a richly layered celebration. With its lush gardens, white columns, and stately charm, it brought gravitas and grace to every frame. From the outdoor "I dos" to the evening reception indoors, the venue gave elegance a new name—presidential chic.

Let's start with Zi's ethereal white saree—worn during their Nikkah ceremony, this look captured grace and reverence. Her sheer veil edged in gold, delicate red roses on her wrists, and soft golden embroidery had us all whispering "bridal goals." As she signed the marriage contract, surrounded by floral beauty and tradition, it was clear: this was the beginning of something timeless. Behind every dazzling setup was Jen Events, whose planning and design brought all the moving pieces together like a symphony. NPD Events worked floral magic—from cascading white blossoms to dramatic stage arrangements, every petal added softness and drama in equal parts. And let's say White House Catering and Shahnawaz Restaurant created a flavor fusion that had everyone going back for seconds.

Next, the couple dazzled in their Indian wedding ceremony attire. Ehren looked regal in an ivory sherwani and red turban, while Zi stunned in a richly embroidered red saree. Their grand entrance into the reception had guests cheering and aunties (and us) reaching for tissues. Surrounded by family and golden florals, this ceremony brought together cultures in the most glamorous way. Guests enjoyed sweet sips of shaved ice courtesy of the Yamanaka Family Store, and the Orbital Memories photo booth gave everyone a reason to pose like influencers (some better than others—we saw you, Uncle Raj).

None of these magical moments would have been frozen in time without the extraordinary talent of AJ Studios Inc. With an eye for emotion and a lens that captures not just faces, but feelings, their work transformed each fleeting moment into a forever memory. From the soft morning light gracing Zi's delicate veil during the Nikkah to the vibrant, laughter-filled moments of the tea ceremony, every image was carefully framed like a work of art. The romantic exchange of vows beneath a sea of florals? Picture-perfect. And that first dance dip under the towering trees—equal parts movie scene and pure magic. The emotion, intimacy, and joy radiate from every photo, reminding us that photography isn't just documentation—it's a form of storytelling.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Ehren during college. He was my neighbor. I knew he was "the one" when he supported me in all my crazy ideas and still stood by my side.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Ehren proposed at Moraga Steps (A hidden tourist attraction in San Francisco). I was raised in San Francisco at Moraga Ave. My family home is right next to Moraga Steps, and it will be so special to be proposed by the neighborhood i grew up in.

Photographer: AJ - IG handle: ajstudioinc
Shaved Ice vendor: IG handle: Yamanakafamilystore
Wedding Coordinator: Jenny Halstead - IG handle: jeneventsca
Outfit: a mixture of a traditional white dress at the ceremony, a Lehenga passed down by my mother-in-law, and a Qipao for the Chinese tea ceremony
Theme: Ivory, Green, Gold

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My favorite color is green, hence the theme color.

My lengha was passed down by my mother-in-law. I know it would make her very happy if I wore her lengha, and given that it was well kept, and it is a family gem, I wanted to honor her wishes

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Being able to work with Jenny, our wedding coordinator, was very pleasant, helpful, and talked through my ideas when I was stressed. If a young bride were to ask me what one thing I would invest in, I would say a good coordinator. She made things super easy, streamlined, and stress-free

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Being able to experience the cultural traditions

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
My first look with Ehren

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Don't sweat over the smallest things. The event will go by so quickly; just enjoy the moment with the people there to celebrate you.

Four outfits, one love story—Zi & Ehren’s wedding was a masterpiece of beauty and tradition.
