When Vishwani & Wyatt began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a day that would honor their South Asian heritage while capturing the modern, fun-loving essence of their relationship. And let me tell you—this couple delivered in spades! The morning of the wedding was a flurry of excitement. Vishwani, resplendent in her richly embroidered Chahat Couture lehenga, was a vision of poise and elegance. She chose a deep, regal red that complemented her warm smile and the intricate henna by Henna by Pallavi. As she adjusted her dupatta, she confessed, “I wanted my outfit to reflect the powerful woman I’ve grown into while staying rooted in tradition.” And it did exactly that.
Wyatt, meanwhile, looked every inch the suave groom in his tailored tuxedo from Knot Standard, blending classic style with the spirit of the day. As he waited for his first look at Vishwani, he admitted to a few butterflies fluttering around. But the moment he turned around to see her, time seemed to stop. Their eyes met, and it was as if the world hushed to watch this beautiful moment unfold. The couple’s chosen venue, The Larkfield, was transformed into an enchanting floral wonderland by the talented team at Exclusive Events NY. Think lush garlands, vibrant blooms, and a dreamy ceremony arch that framed the couple’s vows perfectly. They truly pulled out all the stops, infusing each corner with color and magic, making it feel like a scene from a fairytale. The ceremony was a blend of laughter and heartfelt emotion. As Vishwani and Wyatt exchanged vows, the love in their eyes was palpable. They shared quiet glances and sweet smiles that spoke volumes, even as the world around them seemed to melt away.
A. Merisier Events, working in collaboration with WMF Floral & Design, orchestrated a seamless day of celebration. From the mehndi night—where guests admired the intricate henna patterns on Vishwani’s hands—to the lively baraat, where Wyatt arrived in a flower-adorned BMW that could only be described as the ultimate “Wow Factor,” the entire wedding was a testament to impeccable planning. Speaking of the baraat, let’s pause for a second. Picture this: a convoy of guests in colorful attire, waving smoke bombs in the air, and Wyatt riding in style. It was the kind of entrance that made everyone stop, stare, and start dancing. Honestly, who needs a horse when you have a luxury car decked in blooms and a groom with a megawatt smile?
The evening continued with an epic reception where DJ Gudah and Finer Touch Entertainment kept the beats flowing and the dance floor packed. Vishwani, twirling in her lehenga, glowed under the lights as Wyatt beamed at her. Their friends and family joined in, making sure the dance floor was never empty and the joy was infectious. Not to be outdone, the couple’s four-legged ring bearer—courtesy of the Royal Dog of Honor—stole a few hearts and a few selfies. The sweet tooth in the room had its moment of bliss, thanks to the delectable treats from Chaiwala Cart NY.
J’adore Love Photo & Cinema captured it all—the quiet, tender moments, the bursts of laughter, and every dance move in between. Their lens didn’t just document the day—it told a story. From the teary-eyed first look to the electrifying energy of the baraat, every image reflected the heart and soul of the celebration. The artistry in their work is undeniable; each frame feels intentional, vibrant, and full of life. They have a remarkable ability to freeze raw emotion in a single click, so much so that looking through Vishwani & Wyatt’s album feels like reliving the wedding all over again. The composition, color, and storytelling style speak to the expertise and passion of a team that genuinely understands the rhythm of South Asian weddings. Enjoy it!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
To my surprise, Wyatt proposed on Sunday, September 5, 2021. As foodies and frequent explorers of new and exciting restaurants, Wyatt arranged a dinner for us at the famous River Cafe in Brooklyn. The hope was/is that for decades to come, we will return to the River Cafe to reminisce about this special moment in our relationship. Coupled with dinner, Wyatt informed me that his job had organized a boat ride as a “work event.” This second and post-dinner component would be the cover Wyatt needed to get me alone. As we approached the Pier, the captain of the small boat informed us that the rest of Wyatt’s co-workers had either canceled or were running late. That was the moment when I knew. Indeed, it was either the suspicious solo boat, the bottle of Dom Perignon that Wyatt insisted we bring since the “work event” was BYOB, the pre-arranged assortment of chocolates, or the overly large engagement ring box protruding from Wyatt’s pocket since dinner. We quickly set sail with a pre-arranged playlist that reminded us of our dating years, including a summer road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway. When we reached the Statue of Liberty, Wyatt approached me, got down on one knee, and asked me to make him the luckiest man on the planet. The rest is history.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
For my bridal lengha, I wanted a traditional look with a twist: an elaborate red and white gold lehenga with pops of color to stand out.
For my wedding dress, I was open to trying every style and option out there, so it took me a while to make a decision! I didn’t really have a vision of what I wanted to wear (whenever someone asked me, I told them I just saw Wyatt down the aisle and not what I was wearing!) I visited multiple (probably 10+) salons over months to find the perfect dresses, and was very happy I took the time to figure out my vision! Viero Bridal was an absolute pleasure to work with.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Guests loved to see all of our family and friends come together to celebrate our love and the blend of cultures. For the traditional Hindu ceremony, most guests wore traditional attire, and Wyatt and his closest friends and family even surprised me with a Bollywood performance!
Cheers to the newlyweds—a love as timeless as their beautiful and meaningful wedding day.
