How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Keval first laid eyes on Mira at a college party. It was a moment that may have seemed ordinary to some, but it would soon become unforgettable. With a burst of courage, he asked for her Snapchat. To Mira, it felt like just another casual exchange — nothing more. But to Keval, it was the beginning of something special.

The very next day, he reached out and asked her on a date. Their first outing took place in the heart of New York City, right in the middle of the holiday season — a time when the city glows with magic and charm. That night, under the twinkling lights and surrounded by festive cheer, something new began to bloom between them.

And from that moment on, the rest was history.

Keval and Mira have always shared a love for tropical getaways. Cabo, Mexico, had been at the top of Mira’s travel list for a while, so Keval finally decided to take her. But what Mira didn’t know was that this trip wouldn’t be just another sunny escape — it would mark the beginning of forever.

The couple stayed at the stunning Nobu Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, soaking up the luxury and ocean views. One evening, Keval casually suggested they check out a beautiful restaurant nearby. Mira agreed, unaware of what was about to unfold.

They arrived at Sunset Monalisa — a breathtaking cliffside restaurant overlooking the sea — and Mira still had no idea where they were or what was coming. After being seated, Keval excused himself, saying he had to use the restroom. Moments later, he returned with the waiter and asked Mira if she wanted to take a picture.

As she stood up, ready to pose, Keval got down on one knee and asked the magic question.

Her answer? Yes — it was always yes.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
When it came to planning our wedding, we knew we wanted an intimate celebration where we could truly connect with our closest family and friends. South Asian weddings are often grand, so we chose a destination wedding to keep it meaningful and personal. From the start, we envisioned a sunset beach ceremony — a non-negotiable detail that shaped the rest of our planning. We wanted a location that felt like a getaway but wasn’t too far for our guests. That’s how we chose Cancun, Mexico. Its stunning beaches and laid-back vibe made it the perfect backdrop for our dream wedding. Three words that defined our vision: intimate, simple, and elegant.

Every outfit I chose felt like love at first sight. I’d walk away, try to keep looking, but I couldn't stop thinking about them. That’s how I truly knew I had found the perfect look for me — they stayed on my mind and in my heart.

When it came to securing our vendors, hair and makeup were my top priority. I created a vision board for each event — not only to stay organized, but to help my artist bring every look to life. Barbie from Cinderella Bridez was an absolute dream to work with. She perfected each look just as I imagined — if not even better.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
When I began shopping in India, I initially considered a pastel shade for my bridal dress. But the moment I tried on a red lehenga, I knew — nothing says “bride” quite like red.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
One of the most enjoyable parts of the planning process was our frequent trips to Cancun, Mexico, to finalize the details. While it might sound like a chore, for us, fans of beach getaways, it was the perfect way to unwind and de-stress throughout the wedding planning journey.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved the combination of a vacation and a wedding. The best part of having a destination wedding was that no one had to worry about heading home after the events. Everyone stayed fully energized and in vacation mode throughout the entire celebration.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Since my dad passed away, my mom, sister, and brother-in-law performed the pooja. Having not only my mom, but also my sister and brother-in-law by my side inside the mandap was truly special. They all hold a deeply cherished place in my heart.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
When it came to the decor, I knew I wanted a simple yet elegant look that would highlight the natural beauty of the stunning resort.

My dance performances at the Sangeet were far from ordinary. I dedicated a special dance to my husband, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and to my mom and dad, with my sister by my side. Many guests mentioned that this was the highlight of the wedding events.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
As a bride, it’s natural to want every detail to be perfect, and you should absolutely try your best. But also remember: something may not go exactly as planned, and that’s okay. Embrace the process and soak it all in, because after two years of planning, I truly feel like I blinked and it was all over.

This destination wedding was a stunning celebration with beautifully heartfelt moments. Enjoy!
