How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Nathen about 5 years ago at my best friend's house. After that, we started to hang out more often and realized we had so much fun hanging out together. We would spend a lot of time together but always denied that we were dating each other. Finally, it hit both of us that we were in love with each other and we could not see the future without having one another.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We were on a road trip that started in orange county and we drove up the coast to Eugene, Oregon to Portland, up to Seattle and back down to Yosemite. We stopped and did a lot of hiking and exploring. We stopped at his mom's house and had plans to go to Yosemite for a hike the next morning. At that moment, I did not know he was going to propose in Yosemite. I did not want to go as I was exhausted from the previous week of driving around and just wanted to relax. Nathen insisted that we go to Yosemite and that it would be fun. We got up before sunrise and drove to Yosemite. There we did the Lower Falls Hike, but it was during the drought and there was a little waterfall going. That hike ended early and Nathen had scheduled a photographer to come take pictures of the proposal, which was not supposed to happen until around 2 pm. At this point, it was only 10 am and we had time to waste. I still wanted to go home and I was getting more tired and grumpy. Nathen, however, kept saying he wanted to do a whole bunch of different activities. We continued walking around Yosemite and finally, at around 1:45 pm, Nathen decided that we do our "last event" and go look to see if the Yosemite falls had a little pool at the bottom from the waterfall. When we got there, I saw no water and was sad because I just wanted to see a waterfall. Nathen, however, kept walking closer and then in front of what would have been the waterfall he walked to a basket. He started saying, "Hey look at this basket", and I told him not to touch it because it wasn't his. He started to open the basket and I realized what was happening. He dug into the basket, pulled out a box, and got down on one knee and started to ask me to marry him. I kept screaming yes before he could even finish. After he completely said everything he had to say, he put the ring on my finger. I could not believe this was finally happening. Nathen also hired a photographer that captured the entire moment and we took pictures after. In the basket, there was champagne, chocolate, strawberries, champagne flutes, flowers, and nail polish, because I did not get my nails done before. It was PERFECT. After, Nathen continued to surprise me with a dinner in Yosemite where his family was there and my best friend.

See you in a twinkle for upcoming fusion wedding and reception!
