We're starting it all off with a look at the Indian bride's uber chic mehndi celebration, where the happy couple and their guests all donned white outfits — basically, if Puff Daddy planned a pre-wedding event, this is how he'd do it! We love these breathtaking images of Maharani Sejal getting her mehndi done, and the fantastic portrait of her and Raja Amit against the evening sky in their all-white ensembles! When I get back, we'll continue on their shaadi journey with an exclusive invite to their garba, which cannot be missed! For now, sink your teeth into more of these mehndi night details in the complete gallery, plus a bonus look at other pre-wedding festivities!
Maharani Sejal, on planning her mehndi:
"When planning my mehndi party I knew I wanted to do something completely different. I was inspired by an all white Parisian inspired dinner party Amit and I attended in Chicago called "Diner en Blanc", and knew I wanted to use this as inspiration. I had a lot of fun planning this pre-wedding event and we had a lot of creative elements!
We asked all of our guests to wear all white, which was definitely a non-traditional request. It was a huge success though, with everyone wearing white head to toe, which complimented our all white menu, white tent, and white decor. The night was topped with beautiful fireworks at the end. I also was able to get my mehndi done that night without getting any on my gown, which was an additional win for the night!"
Stay tuned for more pre-wedding perfection when we dive into Sejal and Amit's incredibly colorful garba celebration, next!
