The bride, on how she met the Raja of her dreams:

"I met Zaheer nine years ago when I flew down to attend a wedding in London. He was helping out and was asked to pick up the guests from the airport (aka my family and I). We hit it off right from the start and had a great time at the wedding events. Nothing really came of it and I went back to California and he went back to his life in London. Two years later, he reached out to me and we once again had great conversation. We kept in touch throughout the years, and although we had a great connection, it seemed all too filmy and too good to be true. We were an ocean apart, and I assumed it was just all in my head. He proposed to me many times over the course of those years, but I just kept thinking it wouldn't work out and was too good to be true and we remained friends. (silly me!)"

On the super romantic proposal:

"Last year after I graduated with my masters from USC, my girlfriends and I decided to take a trip to Europe. We started in London, and I ended up reconnecting with Zaheer. As soon as I saw him again after all those years, I just knew he was the one. He ended up taking my friends and I all around London and showed us the time of our lives. That next day I left for Spain and traveled around the rest of Europe. We stayed in touch throughout my trip, and finally when I came back to London 14 days later, he asked me in person, and I knew it was true love and had to say yes. It was definitely the work of the one from above that brought us both together despite so much distance."

On her wedding style:

"I wanted a fresh and clean look for our Nikkah. I also wanted it to be an intimate event with family and close loved ones. Traditionally most events are done inside, but I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful scenery in California and chose the beautiful location we found in San Diego County. My inspiration was "true love" and thinking of that made me want to incorporate a white and cream palette to signify the purity of our relationship and added a pop of color to keep it fresh. Also, I tried to incorporate a criss-cross theme to signify our two lives becoming one. I used this design on my outfit, our backdrop, my mehndi and the cake. It was a subtle effect but added a touch of meaning."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"The thing I enjoyed the most about planning our event was working with the vendors. I thought it was going to be extremely stressful (as I only had 1 month to plan!) but it was truly meant to be, as all the vendors were so accommodating and everything fell into place with ease."

On designing her own bridal wear:

"Being a fashion designer from Dubai, I couldn't resist designing my own dress as well as Zaheer's Sherwani to match. I sketched out the design and had it custom made in Pakistan as well as my sister's outfits (my bridesmaids). I wanted something elegant with a touch a sparkle for our filmy fairytale story"

On her most magical wedding moment:

"I think the most magical moment for me was looking up from the stage and seeing everything come together. And not just the decor and venue...but family. Zaheer and I both value family above everything, and it was so nice to see his family members uniting with mine with such ease and having everyone's blessing. It was as if we all knew each other all along. From our fathers to our siblings and aunts and uncles, everyone had such a great time and no one was stressed. We all got to the resort the day prior, and that really helped to relax everyone and just enjoy."

There's still one more incredible wedding film on the way, dolls! Don't miss out!
