Following the bridal mehndi party, we meet the sweethearts for a swingin' sangeet. Maharani Sahiba's family performs the jago ceremony, a Sikh Punjabi tradition that is close to our bride's heart. Sahiba looks joyous and care-free as she dances with the pot (or gaggar) balanced upon her head. Photographer Gio captures all the lovely details Artistic Affairs helps execute, in a style we'll call "Moroccan chic." Our Indian bride and groom are self-proclaimed foodies, so you know they served up something fierce: an assortment of Mediterranean dips, lamb skewers, maakouda and a traditional Indian dinner service.
While I grab something to eat, graze on these gorgeous photos -- you know I am lovin' Sahiba's makeup by Kanwal Batool and her long braids created by Cosmo Beauty Salon!
Up next: an elegant Sikh wedding ceremony!
