Though Sameer proposed to his sweetheart on a chilly New York City rooftop in the dead of winter, their Indian wedding ceremony is exactly the opposite. On a warm October morning in Orange County, this adorable duo meet under an outdoor mandap at The Richard Nixon Library. The intimate ceremony is surrounded by tall palm trees and overlooks a pool -- so beautiful! Kumba Entertainment helped plan the gorgeous ceremony, while Valley Florist arranged the gorgeous hanging flower garlands. Check out these photos from Matei Horvath Photography, and then read what the Maharani has to say about her dream Indian wedding!
From Maharani Payal:
"For both of us, the best part of the day was just being on the mandap. The sun was out, our friends and family were all there in front of us and our parents were by our side. It was such a warm and happy feeling, and we were just having so much fun on the mandap together.
There’s always a bit of surprise in the way these ceremonies play out – out of nowhere, the priest had us face each other, put our hands on each other’s hearts and close our eyes. It wasn’t something we had talked about or planned, but it just felt like such a beautiful way to reflect on the moment. It’s a moment I remember often."
