There are so many reasons to loovveee Indian weddings and one of my favorites is a light-hearted game that I've had the pleasure of seeing a few times; the infamous nose grab! I'm sure many of you are familiar with it but here's a little background info. Usually, when the groom arrives at the location of the wedding ceremony, the bride's mother first gives him her blessings....and then proceeds to grab his nose! The reasoning behind this fun little game is to essentially remind the groom that he has finally come to the girl's home, rubbing his nose at the door and asking for her hand in marriage from her parents. If the bride's mother succeeds in grabbing his nose, the groom has to do whatever his future mother-in-law says for the rest of his life. So when Parth arrived with his horse-drawn carriage from Equishare Baraat Horses and Carriages, Mona's mom was ready to go for the gold! Thank goodness that photographer Shira Weinberger was able to capture those few moments for us because it looks like Parth lost and left his nose completely open for the grab! I don't think he minded though, he was just too excited to finally be marrying Mona!

How incredible is that view of the NYC skyline from the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson!? What a beautiful place to be able to get married!
Stay tuned Maharanis, we're not done yet! There's still a lot more fun coming up!
