I remember it like it was yesterday. A few weeks before my own Indian wedding, I started to get really nervous, like I was forgetting something, or someone wasn’t going to be there.  I made lists and I checked them twice.  But, it wasn’t until one of my favorite Bhabi’s gave me some advice that I let the whole thing go.  She said to me, “Shawna, an Indian wedding is like the Titanic ship, once it sets sail, it is too big to try to turn around.  So, let everything go, and just repeat to yourself, today is a glorious day.” Well, this magical little gem served me well as a bride, and by the looks on the faces of today’s bride and groom, I know that they are enjoying each and every moment of their glorious day.
