We are wrapping up the night here at Maharani HQ, and jetting off to our company holiday dinner...yahoo!  But, before I take off, I wanted to share this delightfully sweet reception with all of you.  Our bride created an antique Bollywood feel to her reception with the help of Party Decor and florals by Something New. Festive, colorful and unique, and I LOVE the way the draping ties the whole room together!

From the bride :

The reception was my dream come true.  Every time I would meet with a vendor, I told them that my inspiration was antique bollywood.  Our cocktail hour felt like you were outside at a garden party in the 60s as we had lanterns strung throughout and had live singers singing old Bollywood songs.  For the main hall, I had the theme designed off my wedding invitations (custom made in India based on a design by Papyrus Paper Company) that used deep teal, chocolate brown, and accents of pink and gold as the color theme.  One special thing that my husband and I did was that we made a slide show with our immediate family members and friends in it and voiced over thank yous to each of them as pictures flashed on.  It was a really nice way to thank our parents and family in such a special way and it is something we can keep forever.  Other small details included a candy bar, martini bar with martini's named after my bridesmaids and a wishing tree where guests could leave well wishes.  Our first dance was to the song "Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar" which is the song that Amit played in the background when he proposed.  Very fitting because we were each others' first love more than 10 years ago when we first met and started dating!

Congratulations to the adorable couple, and we will see you all tomorrow!
