We are back with the dreamy wedding of Vibha and Sorab. Décor budgets have gone through the roof these days.  I was reading an India times article where weddings are now using themes like the sun, moon, and stars.  It’s festive, but a little impractical.  The struggle for South Asian brides is the sheer size of the reception rooms they need to accommodate their guest count.  A great way to add décor elements to your reception room, without breaking the bank is through lighting.  Lighting creates mood and atmosphere for pennies of what it would cost to achieve the same look through flowers.  Something that this wedding did SO well.

A bit more from the duo at Pink Rock Events : My favorite part of this wedding was the location. It’s an old 1940's hotel! It isn’t functioning as a hotel any longer, so we had to bring in everything. Plates, napkins, chairs, spoons.  Everything. It was worth it though because the hotel has really old Hollywood feel. With beautiful ceilings, old gorgeous light fixtures, and romantic staircase it was a hit.

The décor pieces for the reception were  manzinta trees with red roses.  The wedding ceremony had a dome shaped mandap with hanging kalira as the back drop. It was just gorgeous.

I heart Vibha's wedding day attire. Traditional for the ceremony, and then modern for the reception.
