Dallas, TX Indian Wedding by Inspired Effects

Good morning, my lil sunshines! Put on your cowbat hat cuz we're goin' to Texas for this darling Indian wedding short film, courtesy of Inspired Effects and William Bichara Photography. As we hear sounds of Coldplay playing in the background, we are immersed in the romantic journey of these two adorable love-birds. The maharani looks angelic in her white wedding dress! I love the shot of the groomsmen getting their strut on in their matching white sunglasses! And the reception looks like a blast! I'm seeing some serious dance-moves! What a party!

From the bride, on the proposal:

"Our proposal was one of the biggest surprises of my life! After dating for about a year and a half, we had already discussed marriage and had already received the blessings from our parents. Since he lived in Texas and I lived in New Jersey at the time, we would only get to see each other every 2-3 months. And it's not like we could do any surprise visits since we both had to plan these trips around our work schedule, vacation time, and family events. My sister had been telling me for a few months about a "work dinner" on a Saturday night and that she will be taking me as her plus one. So on June 22, 2013, we both got dolled up (she made sure I looked extra nice since all her co-workers will be "meeting" me) and headed over to Hoboken. Before going to dinner, however, she said everyone will be meeting at the Pier-A Park to take photos. As we were walking over there, I started to realize we were probably two of the best dressed people at the park. Feeling so much attention from the other casually dressed people at the park, I started to look for other dressed-up people who were supposed to be there to take pictures. I started to worry that we were too late for pictures and told my sister that we should just head over to the restaurant. My sister said not to worry, and that she sees one of her male colleagues by the gazebo towards which we were walking. And I saw that there was a well-dressed gentleman standing a little farther up, facing our direction. The closer we got to the gazebo, I started telling my sister how much he looked like my then boyfriend and how handsome he looked. And then we got even closer and realized it WAS my boyfriend who was standing in the gazebo! I was so shocked. I froze on the spot and couldn't move. My sister had to drag me towards him and I kept asking him what he's doing in Hoboken (he had told me that he had a wedding in Dallas to attend to that day). He then took my hand and walked me to the center of the gazebo. I looked around and saw a giant heart-shaped sign with rose petals and votives all around it. In the center was the words "Will You Marry Me?" I suddenly realized what was happening but at the same time I was in complete shock that I couldn't process everything so quickly. He then said so many things and popped the question. I said yes, and the rest is history :)."

On the planning process:

"I enjoyed every bit of the process of planning our wedding. My most favorite part about the planning was probably picking out the colors, flowers, and the decor for the venue. I was so inspired by the dyed blue dendrobium orchids that we initially picked royal blue and ivory for our wedding colors. Later on, we decided that we needed another 'pop of color' and added magenta to the mix. With a bit of greenery and a touch of magenta, the bouquets and centerpieces looked simple and elegant - just the look I had in mind."

On the hair & makeup:

"I had booked Makeup By Shilpa to do my hair and makeup. I already knew I wanted to have my hair up. I had some style ideas for Shilpa during my hair/makeup trial and she did a fantastic job. For my makeup, I wanted a more natural look as I don't wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis. My hair and makeup came out great on the wedding day and it was exactly what I had envisioned."

On family and friends helping:

"We are so blessed as we had a great deal of help from our family and friends! We had friends who helped with dj and lighting, decorating the church pews and aisle. We received so many compliments from our guests. We also had family put together a slideshow to be played during the reception, and a choreographed dance by cousins and close friends! There are many other things worth mentioning but one thing is certain - our wedding day would not have been possible without the love and support of our family and friends."

Help from family and friends is priceless! More to come, my lovelies!

Tampa, FL Indian Fusion Wedding by Kimberly Photography

Take a sneak peak at today's bride and her lovely bridesmaids as they put on the finishing touches and get ready to walk down the aisle in this big, white wedding. Our beautiful Maharani, Vinitha, has chosen an elegant, white wedding gown and a half up, halp down do that creates a soft and sweet look. The periwinkle bridemaids' dress paired with the stunning statement necklace is both dramatic and complimentary to the bridal party's look as a whole and the color combination is absolutely pretty. Kimberly Photography has managed to tease us with this gorgeous glimpse into our bride's big day, and I can't wait to show you the adorable portrait session coming up. As these ladies finish dolling up and reminiscing, Tracie Domino Events is busy pulling off the perfect wedding ceremony details to make sure this princess has her dream wedding. Maharani Ami and her handsome Prince, Rahul are ready to show off their wedding day fashions with us! These amazing portraits of the happy couple by Fotoimpressions will have you saying "Ooh-la-lengha!". The bride on meeting her husband-to-be and realizing he was the one:

" I met Rahul through a mutual friend. I am not the biggest fan of cooking and I knew he was the one when I would always want to go out of my way to make things for him which is not really in my character."

On his proposal:

"Rahul and I took a trip to the Amalfi Coast for my birthday. The little mermaid was my favorite movie as a child so he had a boat that we hired to take us from Positano to Capri. We took a detour and our captain stopped by the Island of the Mermaids where Rahul proposed."

Isn't that just the sweetest?! Remember to stop by later to see these cuties say their "I Do's"!

Pasadena, CA Indian Wedding by Aaroneye Photography

Hmmm...what did Vanessa Williams once say? Oh yeah, I've gone and saved the best for last! Feeling bittersweet now that this bride's big day is coming to a close, but just because it's the end of this event-packed day, doesn't mean there's little left to see. Our Maharani turned to the talented folks at Planning Elegance to help her bring her wedding day reception vision to life, and boy did they deliver! The designers created a romantic and warm environment for our happy couple to dance the day away in with their friends and family. All the floral arrangements and centerpieces by 2Create Designs are straight out of a storybook and despite what has no doubt been a long day, our bride is still looking particularly fresh and fabulous with the help of Dolled Up by Lulu. It's evident by the smile on our bride's face that her dream wedding has indeed become a reality. Thanks to Aaroneye Photography for bringing us yet another fabulous and fun event! You can still visit the full gallery for a complete look at this spectacular celebration.

The bride on her friends and family:

"My family helped out a lot with the planning process, especially my brother He was honestly my wedding planner. I am so grateful to him and my dad for all their help! Love them."

I seriously hope you all loved this wedding as much as I did, once again, those bridal saris! Hello?! Until later ladies!
