From the bride, on the first dance:

"Our first dance was to Bryan Adams, "Everything I Do". The song for our first dance was chosen solely by my husband. After he suggested it, I listened to it more closely than I have in the past and it was perfect. I asked him today why he chose that song and his response was, "Because all I do, I do for you and I will always do for you and our family."

Final thoughts:

"My wedding day(s) went by so fast. It came so quickly and left equally so. I always tell my husband that I would like to do it all over again, changing nothing."

Hope you enjoyed every moment of this wedding as much as I did! See ya next time, gal pals!

From the bride, on her favorite part of planning:

"As funny as it sounds, I really enjoyed the end. There were so many curveballs during the process that made me change course on my initial themes/schemes/thoughts; that I was unsure if it would all come together flawlessly. I was so estactic that it did. I loved that I was finally able to stand in front of everyone and proclaim my love for my husband in the most beautiful wedding venues and surrounded by all our close friends ad family."

On the wedding style:

"Given that I was having an interfaith wedding, I wanted to give a nod to the Arabic, Indo-Guyanese, and Puerto-Rican traditions and cultures. For the Hindu wedding festivities I chose to have a small, yet colorful henna night. For the ceremony, I wanted to have an old fashion theme dripping in influences of old Indian Royalty. I stuck to rich reds and golds for decor. For my dress, I wanted it to be heavy embroidered in gold thread vs dripping in stones. The style of Kamal's suit infused arabic influences. The reception theme evolved during the planning process. Initially, I wanted to have a very romantic theme, flooded with neutral and light colors (blush pinks, creams, golds, etc). We had some trouble finding the right blush dresses for the bridesmaids, so I opted to shift to a peach/pink, gold with a dark anchor color of navy blue. It was a very formal/black-tie affair vs "romantic". Everything I had dreamt of."

On a special moment:

"The looks on my parents' and husband's face. The involuntary smile that appeared on their faces when they saw me in my bridal lengha and bridal gown. It was indescribable."

On special details:

"Not to toot my own horn, however I lead most of the planning for the wedding from the very beginning. My dad (not mom) from the day I said yes, transformed into a DADZILLA. I worked around his demands to ensure that everyone was happy with the end result. My amazing planner was able to help with on-day coordination. Hasina and her team from Royal Charms were a god-sent."

The reception celebration is straight ahead!

From the bride, on the first dance:
