Tina loves Ashok, Finale

We are featuring one of those perfect little wedding stories that makes me grin from ear to ear.  From the minute I saw the pictures of the bride’s brilliant blue sangeet lengha, I knew we had to feature it. Photographed by the popular Canadian photographer, Andrew Adams this wedding is pure magic.

I know that you guys are probably laughing at how many pictures of this bride I posted.  But, I just love the angles, light, and emotion that Andrew captured on Tina’s wedding day. You can see more of Andrew's work on Maharani right here.

So, this is going to be fun.  Do you remember how the other day's reception had a romantic, frilly interpretation of a pure white room?  Take a look at how today’s striking and modern pure white reception looks completely different.  Kinda cool, isn’t it?

Tina loves Ashok, Part I

I am already missing India, so in order to give myself a little fix, I thought it was the perfect time to feature Andrew Adams' lovely wedding that took place in Bangalore AND Dehli. How awesome, huh?! The week long extravaganza kicked off with their Mendhi/Sangeet at the Taj Hotel, in Bangalore.

I am totally inspired by these next two images, and I would love to see this idea play out at future Indian weddings.  I am swooning over these floral love birds.  Simple, sweet, and sophisticated. You could make the love birds an entire reception theme with chocolate dove desserts, crystal dove place card holders, and a love birds cake topper. An idea that will make your guests say to themselves, “Why didn’t I do that at my wedding?”

Shubhra loves Sanjay, Finale

Even though I get to look at amazing wedding photographs day in and day out, the one thing I never get to see the wedding album.  The albums are really where all the magic happens…lighting is perfected, eyes are brightened, and the pictures seems to come together in the most perfect wedding story-ish way. I am thrilled to share these photographs, by G+H Photography, with everyone because they are the closest thing to a wedding album that we have ever featured on Maharani Weddings.

I just love how you can see step by step, side by side the moments of Shubhra and Sanjay’s wedding unfold.  They definitely make me feel like I am right there!

Congratulations to the lovely couple, and big thanks to G+H Photography for sharing this special wedding with us.

An Update from India : Yesterday there were 30,000 weddings in Delhi because it was considered the most auspicious day for the next 5 months!  It was quite exciting being here...salons are normally closed on Tuesdays, however they were like bridal factories, and you saw many, many, many brides, baraats, horses, and carriages along the way.  Today we meet with Bollywood's top make up artist Ambika Pillai. She is going to tell us her tips on how to look like the ultimate Maharani on your big wedding day!

Shubhra loves Sanjay, Part I

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I am a girly, girly, GIRLY girl.  So, when I got this submission from G+H Photography, in Canada, I knew that this bride was a girl after my own heart.  Shubhra has a feminie style that was carried through the wedding, and this is one bride who definitely believes in fairytales. Care to place a wager on that? Take one look at this magnificently enchanting carriage and I will gladly take your money!

Roshni loves Suchet

Happy Monday my pretties! I hope that everyone had a romantic Valentine's Day.  In celebration of the holiday, I thought there was nothing better than to kick off the week with these dreamy love story by Memories in Motion.  If you aren’t familiar with Memories in Motion, you are in for a real treat. They are one of my favorite videography companies because they have this magical, artistic touch to every piece they produce.  Their work looks totally unique, but totally classic at the same time. So, sit back, relax, and grab a tissue, because I am telling you it is that good!

Preeeeeeety incredible isn't it?  I just can't wait to see the rest. Memories and Motion makes it look just like a Bollywood movie!

From Mili Gosh at Memories in Motion : Hindi film inspired wedding films are a new trend and an option for the more discerning brides. The importance of such production needs to be emphasized when brides are planning a multi-day regal affair. It is crucial now more than ever to seek for cinematographers who will not only capture the beauty but also who have a vision to tell a story about the couple's relationship, love that leads to the most important day of  their life- the wedding. The unique blend of 'real' love chemistry and the day of their wedding really makes the story a complete journey for the couple and their families.
