Somerset, NJ Indian Wedding by Studio Nine Photography

So, some of you may or may not have seen pics from this awesome New Jersey Indian wedding we posted a little bit ago, but either way, you have to check out this highlight reel by Studio Nine Photography + CinemaSonal J. Shah Event Consultants plans the day to perfection! Every detail is spot-on! After celebrating in all the fun and splendor, guests get to enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the magnificent Moghul Caterers! What a treat!

From the bride, on how she met her groom-to-be:

"I officially met George during the very last class of the very last semester of my undergraduate education. Unofficially, we had met during the very first class of my very first semester, but did not speak again after that first encounter. There was no "fireworks" moment that made me think he was the one, I just knew."

On how he proposed:

"I do! George proposed to me in front of the Eiffel Tower after surprising me with a trip to Paris! He told me 2 nights before we were to leave on the trip that we were going and I should let my employers know that I would be out for a couple days. Little did I know he had already worked everything out with them and had everything planned for quite some time! The first thing I thought of when he told me about the trip was, 'Oh, maybe it's for an engagement!' so I called my mother and asked her. My mother, who knew all about the plan, said nothing that would hint towards an engagement being the reason for this trip, so I figured oh well, whatever, I'm still going to Paris! George did not propose the first night, or the 2nd so I had come to terms with the fact that it wasn't going to happen. The third night we were walking along the river, George started going down memory lane. As we approached the Eiffel Tower, he got down on one knee, pulled out a ring and proposed! Not only that, but he timed it perfectly so the proposal was exactly on the hour which is when the lights on the Eiffel Tower change from steady yellow to flickering white. It was the absolute perfect proposal from the absolute perfect guy."

On the wedding style:

"When we sat down to begin planning the decor and theme for the wedding, we knew pretty much off the bat that we wanted a sophisticated and classy but modern look to it all. Since George proposed in Paris, we thought it would be a perfect inspiration and confirmed that we would go with a Parisian theme."

On what she enjoyed most in regards to planning her dream wedding:

"The details! Finalizing flowers and decor, going to food tastings and of course making sure the perfect songs were chosen for the right moments. (And of course, the shopping!!!!)"

On choosing her lenghas:

"I had found a picture of the perfect bridal lengha for the ceremony months before shopping and I thought I'd spend days and days trying to find it. When I went to India, the first store we went to, I was shown a completely different outfit that I thought was completely not me. When I tried it on I fell in love with it and bought it on the spot, not even bothering to search elsewhere. The rest of the outfits were not quite as easy to find and took a lot of time, but eventually I found the perfect attire for each of my wedding events."

On her makeup:

"I, like all other brides, spent hours finding the perfect styles for each of my events. I had a great makeup and hair team which really helped make my ideas come to life. I could not have been happier with the results."

On friends and family helping:

"I have a huge family and friend base who really helped out with this wedding in all senses, but if I have to chose one person who stood out, it would, of course, have to be my mother. Even though we argued 1,000 times and had different opinions on almost everything, in the end she made sure everything went perfectly. My day would not have been as flawless in every aspect if it was not for my mom."

On the song for the first dance:

"We chose, All of Me, by John Legend. When we first heard the song, we thought the lyrics were beautiful and the music was just very enchanting and magical. Then we realized that John Legend had written that song to sing for his wife on their wedding day and we thought it was so romantic."

On the most special moments:

"This is going to sound corny, but after I walked down the aisle to the mandap and they took down the curtain between George and I for the "first look", we moved the chairs side by side and took a selfie! To this day that selfie remains one of my favorite moments (and picture) of the day. A close runner-up to that moment is of course our first dance because even though there were hundreds of people there, during that moment everyone disappeared and it was just us."

Dont fret girls, one more filmy Friday still ahead!

The bride, on her most cherished wedding moment:

"I feel like the whole day was a magical. My husband came in on a monster truck which was so unique and different. It was a big hit!! We love music so having live music was very important to us. During the cocktail hour we had a Caribbean band play the newest hits for our guest. We received so many compliments on how the music was great. Also, we had a drummer who played along with the DJ. He was so great that everyone was on the dance floor the whole time."

On her and her Raja's first dance song:

"Our first dance was All of Me by John Legend and Daniel Jang playing the violin. My husband came across this song on youtube and told me this is the song. After listening to it once I kept listening to it everyday. Every time I listen to this song just brings me back to our very special day."

On friends and family:

"My sister in law and Charmi Pena Patel were a huge help we couldn't have done it without them. They came to all the appointments with us and helped with everything. My cousin, friends, and family helped with all the little details such as making the gift card box, guest sign in book, frames, welcome bags, and all the printing just anything I needed. Special thanks goes to our parents who without them this day couldn't have been possible."

On her vendors:

"Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park just amazing!! Beautiful venue and the staff is amazing! I just love that place! The cake was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. It looked so good that I didn't want to mess it up. Overall, we had many wonderful memories that we can never forget! Special thanks goes out to all the vendors who made this day run smoothly. Our videographers are just so talented like our photographers. They are going to make our memories last forever!"

That's all for today, Maharanis! See you gorgeous dolls tomorrow!

The bride, on her wedding style:

"The wedding was very elegant and that was exactly what I wanted. The mandap was made out of pixie glass pillars with crystals and orchids hanging from the center. The background was the big open windows so we had massive amount of natural night....beautiful! My favorite color is blue so that incorporated into the reception which just made the venue look amazing! The candles and vases with floating candles added a great touch. The purple sequin tablecloth made the whole cake table look magnificent."

On planning her wedding:

"What I most enjoyed was having all my family and friends celebrate this special day with us! In the end all the hard work paid off knowing everyone had an amazing time."

I'll be back with our bride as she shows off her reception fashion and some amazing floral and decor details! Don't miss out!
