Maharani Allisha, on her wedding style:

"When we first decided the wedding would be in Arizona, my hometown, my first thought was I wanted to incorporate NYC, where we live now, into the wedding. About half of our guests would be traveling from NYC, so I thought it would be a nice tribute to those traveling to show our appreciate for them. Also, I have also had a strange obsession with peacocks since I was about 13 years old, so I knew I wanted to have a reception that was peacock-themed. Luckily, I found a husband that would allow that to shine through."

On her and Akshit's first dance:

"I come from a dance background, and spent the last 3 years on a competitive Bhangra dance team from the Boston area. My husband and I decided we wanted have our slow song to "Gerua", and then surprise our guests with a Bhangra performance to the song, "Boli Pani". It was executed perfectly, even after practicing only an our before it was time."

See you tomorrow for an equally exquisite wedding event, Maharanis!

On shopping for her dream wedding lengha with her father-in-law!:

"I actually went to India with my father in law and he showed me a couple of stores to pick out my lenghas. He has an eye for colors and styles, so he showed me exactly what I wanted and we decided my outfits in less than 3 hours (what I think is extraordinary)."

On her hair and makeup:

"After months of research, on Maharani Weddings, I found and selected certain styles that I knew I would want done for each event. Planning from the East coast, I did not have time to do a trial beforehand, but I had full faith in my makeup and hair artist from her work. She blew my mind away with the looks she gave me for the sangeet and wedding."

The day's not over yet, my dears! Join me in a bit for a sensation celebration!

Maharani Allisha, on what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"Out of the entire planning process, my husband and I both enjoyed our family coming together for the functions beforehand. We were fortunate enough to have family that flew in from India, Dubai, Canada, and all over the US. It was amazing to catch up with them and spend quality time with the family. Every night leading up to the wedding, we would have mini dance parties in our living room. It is probably one thing people take for granted during weddings, but we told ourselves before we would try to enjoy this moment the most."

On her most memorable wedding memory:

"Our main concern prior to the wedding was that our guests would not be able to sit during the ceremony and we should provide some sort of shade/tent to ensure they were all comfortable. Our wedding planners assured us 2 weeks before the wedding that there would be no need for any shade because it was forecasted that there would be overcast and it would be cool. The day of our wedding came, and there was not one cloud in the sky. For those who have never been to AZ, the sun is scorching and you can really feel it if you are sitting in it for more than 5 minutes. Surprisingly, my husband and I, sitting in front of the fire and our backs to the sun, did not feel hot or sweaty at all. We talked about it afterwards, and I mentioned to him how out of the entire weekend, it was at the moment I felt the most peace. It didn't matter to me that it was 100+ degrees out or that we were sitting in front of a fire, it was the fact that I was marrying the most amazing individual I could ask for."

I'll be back before you know it with some sensational wedding portraits from Allisha and Akshit's wedding wonder! Don't miss out!

Maharani Allisha, on meeting the Raja of her dreams, Akshit:

"My husband and I met in Boston, while I was in law school and he was working in NYC. We immediately hit it off, bonding over cheesy jokes and corny compliments. From there, our long-distance relationship continued to blossom through Skype calls, texts, phone calls, and weekend visits. The struggles of being in a long-distance relationship showed us how much we cared for each other and how we needed to be in each other's lives forever. I knew he was "the one" when I could open up to him about anything and he never got scared or flinched away from me. He gave me the respect and love I used to hear about in fairytales and romantic comedies."

Meet me back here later today for more from this desert dream in Arizona!
