Costa Rica Indian Wedding by Jonathan Yonkers

Sharing the love of travel Maharani Shivani and Nikesh treated their guests to a beach side celebration that their guests would never forget at the Tamarindo Diria. After their stunning beach side Indian wedding ceremony, the couple opted for a semi-formal poolside reception. We absolutely love the glam and glitz of Indian weddings but sometimes it is nice to see destination weddings that use the lush nature of outdoors to fancy up a venue. The bride transformed herself to be in party mode with the help of her makeup artist extraordinaire Kashish by Hina. Eventos Boadicea once again nailed the decor look by brightening the gorgeous venue with bright bulbs and floral. Four Nineteen Weddings created the perfect blueprint with the planning and design of this event with Jonathan Yonkers capturing all the images you can find in the gallery.

Costa Rica Indian Wedding by Jonathan Yonkers

It was a gorgeous day in Costa Rica amidst a rumouring hurricane threatening a downpour. Mother Nature decided to give our couple Shivani and Nikesh a break with the outpouring of sunshine for their three day celebration at the Tamarindo Diria. Arriving bright and early, Kashish by Hina was ready to doll the bride up who slipped into a gorgeous green and red lengha hand plucked all the way from Mumbai. The wedding took place outdoors with the serene backdrop of the ocean. Eventos Boadicea designed the most fitting decor for the outdoor ceremony sticking to neutral florals as a way not to overshadow the picturesque outdoors. Doubling up as both the photographer and cinematographer, Jonathan Yonkers has shot some stellar images and we are anxiously awaiting to share the film with you all! In the meantime, head into the gallery where you will find a treasure cove of pics to get through the day!

We have one last stop for the reception party coming right up! Stay tuned Maharanis!

Costa Rica Indian Wedding by Jonathan Yonkers

Welcome back Maharanis! Today’s love tale is as old as time with the union of Shivani and Nikesh. After many hours of chatting on AOL (remember that guys!) the couple soon found themselves swimming in love. Attending the same college, the couple became inseparable and eventually a budding relationship turned into so much more. The couple brought on Four Nineteen Weddings to help spearhead wedding and design tasks and what resulted was a destination Indian wedding brimming with culture and Costa Rica. This was a strategically planned event in which each day equaled a different theme and these amazing photos captured by Jonathan Yonkers are displayed beautifully! The pre-festivities started with a welcome dinner luau style! This also included a game night which in my opinion is a brilliant way for guests to meet and get to know each other. The next morning guests and the couple enjoyed an intimate Pithi ceremony where both ceremonies were held side by side. Such a brilliant idea! We have to take a moment to commend the gorgeous bride on her various bridal looks with Kashish by Hina dolling the bride up. Head into the gallery where you are sure to find some brilliant inspiration for your very own destination wedding. Read on as the bride reveals the details on her destination wedding down below.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Well, this may be obvious due to the decision to have a destination wedding but the both of us LOVE to travel. The summer after our college graduation we both decided that it would be the perfect time to go backpacking through Europe before we joined the adult/working world. We spent our time falling in love with places like Venice, Berne, London, Cinque Terre, Dublin, and more but it was Paris that Nikesh decided to propose in! On the 6th day in Paris after spending days falling in love with the city we decided to go back to the Eiffel tower one last night. At exactly 1 AM (when the Eiffel tower lights up at night) he turned to me and told me that the last few days had been the most amazing adventure and the best time ever. He had hoped that we could live the rest of our lives with that sense of adventure and love – and of course, I completed lost it and said YES!!!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I actually traveled to Mumbai in December of 2015 with my parents, little brother, and grandfather to go shopping for the wedding! I knew that I wanted two things with the outfit that I chose for the wedding day: I wanted it to simple (not too heavy since it was going to be an outdoor beach wedding) and I wanted it to be something that would fit my “Costa Rica/Nature” theme! I have the most amazing family in the whole world – they literally spent three weeks going around Mumbai and looking for the outfits of my dream! At the end we stumbled upon a small boutique and that is where I found the outfit. I instantly loved the colors – I knew I wanted to have red on the outfit but I thought that the bottle green color was super perfect for Costa Rica! The minute I tried on the outfit I knew it was what I had been looking for!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

I think that they loved how intimate it was. Over the entire three day wedding, we actually had the time to hang out and talk to our family and friends that made it out to Costa Rica. Not to mention, I think many of them were able to take advantage of being in Costa Rica and traveling around the country both before and after the event! What Nikesh and I didn’t want was a three day wedding that was super hectic and went by in a blur. Having our wedding in a country whose motto is “Pura Vida” really helped everyone be on a sort of “Island time” and just overall relaxed!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

On the weekend of our wedding a hurricane was actually expected to touch down in Costa Rica! However, literally every day/event was perfect and the rain never bothered us at all. The most perfect moment was on Saturday morning before the wedding ceremony. It was pouring rain ALL early morning and we really thought that we might have to move everything indoors. However, my dad and his best friend refused and said we were going to have the wedding outside rain or shine because that is what Nikesh and I had wanted (tents and all!). An hour before the ceremony started, the skies literally cleared up, the sun came out, and everything seemed like it had never been touched by rain.

As I walked down the aisle with my mama (and then my dad) the waves, the beach, my future husband waiting for me at the mandap, and everything surrounding us literally looked like a dream and it was the most perfect ceremony that Nikesh and I could have asked for. At that moment, I knew I was the luckiest girl!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

My biggest piece of advice is to TRY to go with the flow on the weekend of the wedding. I learned that having a wedding (and especially) a destination wedding means that things will not always go the way you planned – and this should be totally 100% okay. At the end of the weekend, it wasn’t the flowers that were selected for the centerpieces or the lights hanging on the trees that I was looking at/appreciating. It was the 120 family & friends that had flown all the way to Costa Rica to be with us and my future husband that I wanted to spend all my time & energy focusing on!! In a way, having a destination wedding can really help you achieve this!

Don’t miss a beat as we feature the wedding coming right up!

Long Island, New York Indian Wedding by House of Talent Studio

We arrive at the last celebration honoring Maharani Tanvi and Shrey. Florista Decor gave the Hilton Long Island Huntington a bit of the Midas touch by transforming the spacious ballroom into a classy affair. Hues of blue were scattered across the room which added a warmthness to open quarters. The bride donned a flowing gold anarkali and I love that gold bangles and oversized earrings were the major players in this ensemble. Looks by Jassi outfitted the with long, sultry locks and rosy cheeks with bold lips. The bride opted not to wear a dupatta and I love this decision! Tanvi moved effortlessly across the ballroom. Guests dined on Indian cuisine from Bukhara Grill and danced the night away with the harmonic beats of DJ Amrit. House of Talent Studio brings this love tale to Maharani Weddings and has created the perfect gallery for your perusal.

Long Island, New York Indian Wedding by House of Talent Studio

We are in The Big Apple today celebrating the nuptials of Tanvi and Shrey and their big Indian bash at the Hilton Long Island Huntington. The bride donned a cream and red lengha complete with a gold plated necklace with paisley motifs. I am beginning to think that Tanvi has a thing for paisley designs and I am with her! These types of prints are an elegant addition to all that it touches. No bridal routine would be complete without the perfect makeup artist and Looks by Jassi transformed this Maharani into a knockout. She also made sure that not a pin was out of place and all the pleats of Tanvi’s lengha moved effortlessly as she walked down the petal covered aisle to her mandap. There Shrey awaited his bride in a matching sherwani and looking dapper as ever. House of Talent Studio doubled down on the event and captured all the live action and the stills that you can find in our gallery.
