Jamaica Indian Fusion Wedding by Pixology by Shray

After a gorgeous outdoor Fusion Indian wedding it was time to turn up at the Sunrise Beach at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa for the grand finale. The bride slipped into an effortless two piece outfit that was surely a relief after her gorgeous, one of a kind very intricate wedding lengha. The outdoor area of the venue was such a gorgeous contrast against the pitch of the night with warm sands and the piercing waves of the ocean. One of the best aspects of an Indian destination wedding is that so many chefs are willing to commit a culinary menu catered just to Indian food. The venue catered in house culinary delights that appealed to guest's palette leaving them nice and full. No wedding reception would be complete without the beats of Bollywood and M4U Events was there to bring the islands down. The event was decorated with a Bollywood theme intermixed with the casual relax of Jamaica by Tai Flora Services Ltd.  Hats off to Urvashi Mishra of Electric Karma - East Coast for planning and designing such an amazing destination wedding that is forever memorialized by photographer Pixology by Shray in our gallery.

Jamaica Indian Fusion Wedding by Pixology by Shray

There are some destination weddings that leaves us racing for our passports and the nearest cocktail. We absolutely adore beach side weddings because it gives us a chance to escape the choppy and cold waters of San Francisco and morphes us into a land of coconuts and the streaming sun. Today, we present you with Misha’s fusion wedding that is planned and designed so uniquely by Urvashi Mishra of Electra Karma - East Coast, that we had to take a step back. The bride appeared in all her glory in a jaw dropping floral lengha that was full to the brim with refinement and class. Quite possibly one of my favorite lenghas to date! Here at the Maharani Weddings headquarters, we couldn't stop reveling over the bride’s unsurpassed beauty. Misha and Will’s guests settled down in the outdoor venue of Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa where stone pillars served as the decor for the ceremony. The backdrop of the ocean sealed the deal for this ceremony and I honestly couldn’t agree more with not staging the outdoor area with decor. Sometimes, you have to let nature take its course and this was a win win for all. Head into the gallery where Pixology by Shray has captured a treasure trove of pics to help you get over your destination Indian wedding fix.

Jamaica Indian Fusion Wedding by Pixology by Shray

Welcome to Jamrock! As we all know what follows….Jamaica, Jamaica!  I definitely knew I was in for a real treat when planner and designer of Electric Karma - East Coast’s very own Urvashi Mishra presented us with the gorgeous Fusion Indian wedding of Misha and Will. Misha’s love story is quite unique as she met Will in Jamaica in 2001 and the duo remained friends throughout the years. What unveiled numerous years after was a proposal in the coveted beach town and eventually a gorgeous Fusion wedding. Style by Susmita was ready to soak in the warm waters as beauty extraordinaire for this bride. The preparation began at the gorgeous Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa where the festivities were to take place. As Misha’s bridal routine unfolded, we couldn't stop gawking at her gorgeous floral engulfed lengha that just screams refined elegance. This designer piece completely blew us away with the intricate embroidery and the soft stitching on regal silk. It is no wonder that a Sabyasachi piece would make its way into the midst. Nothing beats getting ready next to the blue waters of this gorgeous country and we definitely got our fix watching this bride get together for her unbelievably gorgeous outdoor Indian Fusion wedding. We have all the images of this job dropping affair in our gallery captured marvelously by Pixology by Shray. The bride dishes on her destination wedding down below.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

We met in Jamaica when we were just 13 years old in 2001. We were both on family vacations (I am from NJ and he is from IL) with our families. we were just kids. We stayed in touch over the years and visited each other every year. Finally about 6 years ago we decided to give the long distance relationship thing a try! About 3 years ago, I moved from NJ to IL to be closer because the travel was becoming too much. Our story is incredible because we met in Jamaica when were kids, got engaged in Jamaica in 2015 and then got married in Jamaica this past March. We pretty much grew up together and were friends since we were little. When we were kids, the internet was new, cell phones barely existed and it wasn't as easy to stay in touch but we somehow managed! It's rare for people to meet, in a strand of such extraordinary events - and find the one they are meant to be with forever.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

We got engaged on March 22, 2015 in Jamaica. The day Will proposed was exactly 14 years since we met in Jamaica. We were on vacation with his family in Montego Bay (we go back with his family every year). Well that night, Will and I had dinner with the family at the Riu Montego Bay and then decided to go on a walk down the beach. Will got down on one knee and proposed on the ocean. It was incredible and the fact that he was thoughtful enough to plan it on our 14 year anniversary of meeting.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

Planning the wedding was AMAZING! We knew almost instantly that we wanted to get married in Jamaica because of our long history there. We decided we wanted a long engagement because I was still in school finishing my graduate degree. Well in March of 2016 we went back to Jamaica for another family vacation with Will's family. We decided to spend 2 days looking at venues in Montego Bay where we could have the wedding and we fell in love with the Hilton Rose Hall Montego Bay. We knew instantly that we wanted to get married at the Aqueduct and wanted to have our reception right on the beach where guests could have toes in the sand! Once the place and date was locked down it was much easier from there.

I had been following Susmita from Style by Susmita for a long time now and had always known that when I got married I wanted her! So she was the next person I called- she helped me come up with my creative vision for our looks, for the vibe that we wanted. For decor etc. I wanted to really keep it simple and elegant. The fact that the wedding was in Jamaica already gave us a perfect back drop for the wedding - the beautiful mountains on one side and the gorgeous ocean on the there. I went with a very rustic, natural theme for the main wedding day. For our other events (Welcome Dinner), I went a little bit more vibrant and embraced some neons, laterns, market lights etc.

Outfits- this was something I was very particular about. I knew my favorite designer was Sabyasachi! and one of the first things I knew is which bridal lengha I wanted. So me and my mom put that in motion right away. For the bridesmaids and groomsmen - I wanted them to be comfortable but vibrant. For the guys, we went for a very "Beatles" vibe and for the girls we did brighter stripped tops and floral skirts (my dress had floral so it went perfectly).

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I knew this was the one I wanted right away. I have been OBSESSED with Sabyasachi's work! There was not a doubt in my mind about my dress. It was the first dress I saw, and the one I went with!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The best part was working so closely with my mom. My mom was my rock during the wedding planning process. Her and my dad made sure that everything I wanted happened! My mom went out of her way to make sure my outfit was perfect, hair was perfect - and that all my visions came to life for the event. It was really great having that special bonding time with my mom.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

I loved our ceremony. We were really worried about how it was going to work out since neither I or my husband are religious. We took a little of this and a little of that and put something together. It also poured for 30 minutes before our OUTDOOR ceremony! But that kept things exciting and I stayed pretty positive throughout. When we got to our ceremony, you could see the clouds in the mountains, it had cooled off a bit because of the rain and the scene was so romantic and beautiful.

Stay tuned for the gorgeous wedding details and a rocking out entertainment party hosted by M4U Events. See you in a bit!

New Rochelle, NY Sikh Wedding by StoryMotion Studios

As  Rupinder & Teghkaran’s wedding has taught us, no event would be complete without the right wedding planner and Lifetime Events by Jacqueline was on board to make sure all the events in this wedding were streamlined cohesively. For her wedding reception, the bride knew that only a Sabyasachi designer piece would do. The bride’s piece was an uber luxurious modernized garment with intricate gold embroidery. Rupinder paired rich and cultural jewelry that was the perfect compliment to her ensemble and henna artwork by Mehndi by Monika. Mayuri’s Floral Design adorned the wedding’s multiple tables at the Greentree Country Club with tall white and peach floral that was both romantic and lush. Celebrity musician Jay Sean’s very own DJ Biks from the blockbuster DJ dream team Planet DJ Productions made an appearance and kept the crowd moving. No reception party would be complete without the ultimate sound and lighting troupe and DJ USA illuminated the ballroom with perfection. Guests were treated to full Indian cuisine catered by Saffron. The memory makers of the night included Vaaho Photography who shot all the live action with StoryMotion Studios helming all the photos you find in the gallery.

New Rochelle, NY Sikh Wedding by StoryMotion Studios

"The most enjoyable part of the wedding planning process was trying on the beautiful outfits for all our wedding events, of course! Shopping in India is a girl's dream come true because the selections, the designs, and the treatment you get when shopping there is like no other". - Bride, Rupinder. Meeting her beau was one adventure and now the real journey began with Lifetime Events by Jacqueline spearheading the important task of ensuring that all wedding events were streamed cohesively. One of my favorite images from this wedding was the bride reading a letter written by Teg while watching his baraat ceremony from the window. Although she couldn’t be there, she was still able to witness the grand procession. The bride was gorgeous as she walked down the Greentree Country Club that was transformed to replicate a Gurdwara. One of the most distinguished features of the bride had to be her gorgeous henna by Mehndi by Monika. How can flowers on the ceiling not blow you away? Mayuri’s Floral Design created an upside down garden that was full of gorgeous blooms. StoryMotion Studios has captured a gorgeous set of images you can find in the gallery with Vaahoo Photography behind the video lens.
