Jersey City, NJ Indian Wedding by Kelly Kollar Photography

There are so many details of Suma & Ben’s special day that were absolutely spectacular. From a bustling baraat ceremony with Ben perched on a majestic horse (against the joyous dhol beats of DJ VIk) to the first look overlooking the breathtaking NYC skyline, every element of this South Asian fusion wedding was full of fabulous flair. The bride and groom took advantage of great Jersey City weather and wed under a waterfront mandap that showcased the beauty of the outdoors. Rangoli Weddings set a charming outdoor setup at the Hyatt Regency - Jersey City that incorporated a plethora of white florals on top of a majestic, ivory and gold wrought mandap. Electric Karma - East Coast spearheaded planning and design for an ultra luxurious affair that was inspired by the deep roots of Bollywood, while The Royal Collection created chic invitations and stationery for guests. Kelly Kollar Photography was front and center, snapping away all the breezy moments that you can find in our full gallery. The glam team at Cinderella Bridez dazzled the bride into royalty. Glossy lips, gold lidded eyes and layers of golden jewels were some of the stars of this bride's sensational ensemble. And we were thrilled to pieces when we caught a glimpse of the vivid tangerine hue of Suma’s silken sari. Such a beauty! In our next post, we dive into all the ceremony deets, and we have lots more images in the full gallery by Kelly Kollar Photography to help you get through your day! And then, we’ll take you into all the reception action, with world class cuisine by Amiya - Contemporary Indian Cuisine!

Malibu, CA Indian Wedding by Hitched Photo

Welcome back to the last segment of Meghana and Adrian’s dazzling wedding celebration! After the auspicious outdoor Indian ceremony, it was time for the newlyweds to switch up their ensembles and take some portraits on the sprawling grounds of the Calamigos Ranch Malibu. Meghana was a vision of beauty in rosy makeup and a sleek, floral adorned updo by the makeup masters at Dolled up by Lulu. And we’re obsessing over her mod, cerulean lehenga that sparkled with every step. This Maharani is a total fashionista and we’re coveting every inch of this royal look that ensured the bride would effortlessly take center stage at her big event. The reception was helmed by the planning and design mavens at Neha Shah at Blue Lotus Insights, and each of these stunning captures by Hitched Photo has us in awe at how this wedding had such a gorg, paradise vibe. The space contained a divine circular, wreath backdrop, intermixed with tons of ruby blooms. So pretty! Guests had the time of their lives watching the festive program and munching on fine Indian cuisine. Maharani Meghana is a total foodie and told us, “I knew from the very beginning I didn't want to go with the tried and true Indian buffet - I wanted to do food stations with multiple cuisine choices. Therefore, each tasting we went to had to show us a variety of options - Indian, Mexican, American, Chinese and then some! Word to the wise - do not book more than one tasting a day, your stomach will thank you.” Wise words! The live footage of this dreamy wedding was captured with perfection by Avec Lumiere and Hitched Photo, while the full gallery by Hitched Photo is waiting for your perusal!

Malibu, CA Indian Wedding by Hitched Photo

Hi there sweeties! Today we bring you some super gorg images of Meghana and Adrian by the always stellar Hitched Photo. We promise that they’ll make you swoon. This dynamic duo have such a magical history together, and attended college and graduate school together, making all sorts of lovely memories through the years. Meghana told us, When you are with each other for that long you are an irreplaceable part of each other's lives. He's my best friend and soul mate - simple as that!” Meghana and Adrian were about to make their most special memory yet with their Malibu, secret garden inspired wedding overseen by the sensational Neha Shah at Blue Lotus Insights. They settled on the ethereal Calamigos Ranch Malibu to host their Indian wedding ceremony, and on the morning of the event, Dolled up by Lulu swept in to bedazzle our beautiful bride. Her flawless skin, shimmering eyes, and rosebud lips were simply breathtaking. Meghana opted for a white, lace sari to combine the best of both Western and Eastern fashions. What a stunner! Although this sari was lovely on its own, the delicate jewels and carefully pinned veil also made a bold statement. Avec Lumiere and Hitched Photo captured so much fab live footage that we can’t wait to share with you all. In the meantime, Hitched Photo has captured every moment beautifully in our full gallery. While you wait for our ceremony coverage, scroll below for our interview with Maharani Meghana.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Adrian and I met in high school. We have basically grown up together - through college, graduate school and beyond. When you are with each other for that long you are an irreplaceable part of each others' lives. He's my best friend and soul mate - simple as that!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Every year my cousins and I have a Secret Santa gift exchange amongst ourselves and our significant others. One year, I had to work overnight on Christmas Eve and flew down to LA to be with family Christmas morning. Adrian had rigged the whole thing so that he was my Secret Santa, and my whole family was in on it.  In front of my entire family, I opened up my present - towels! Underneath all the towels was a small box, and I looked up to see Adrian on one knee. I immediately started crying and my family got the whole thing on embarrassing video. It was so magical!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I knew from the very beginning I wanted to wear a white sari - something ideally similar to lace so that it would also look a little bit like a western wedding gown.  I wanted it to be simple and elegant. The only trouble was I had one day in Mumbai to find it! I had very little time to go wedding shopping in India so we had about 4 hours to find the wedding sari.  After we left our third store I started to get worried but we found it at the 4th! I knew it was the right sari as soon as I saw it!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

Food tastings! Man, I love food. I knew from the very beginning I didn't want to go with the tried and true Indian buffet - I wanted to do food stations with multiple cuisine choices.  Therefore each tasting we went to had to show us a variety of options - Indian, Mexican, American, Chinese and then some! Word to the wise - do not book more than one tasting a day, your stomach will thank you.

Ceremony coming right up!

Oak Brook, IL Indian Wedding by Rebecca Marie Photography

We’ve finally reached the grand finale reception event celebrating the union of Jessica and Viral. Jessica was a dewy goddess in loose waves and rosy cheeks thanks to the artistry of Patty McGuire. She chose an elegant white lehenga to celebrate her final wedding event, and she truly resembled an angel. Jessica and Viral took a few intimate moments to themselves as frolicked on the gorgeous grounds of the Oak Brook Hills Hilton Resort. The couple enlisted Shaadi Creations to spearhead decor of the reception, and the talented team brought the outdoors inside with a foliage inspired wreath acting as the centerpiece to this lovely affair. The couple kept the chic vibe going with mesmerizing uplighting and a five tiered cake adorned with golden mehndi designs. Okeyne Media Lab swarmed the space with euphoric beats as guests dined on fine Indian cuisine from India House and Naansense. What a once in a lifetime celebration! To see the complete set of photos from this stellar soiree, step into the full gallery by Rebecca Marie Photography and get lost in all the charm.
