Woodland Park, NJ Indian Wedding by Charmi Peña Photography

Good day, lovelies! I have such an adorable bride for you today and I'm sure you'll be inspired by her wedding style. Charmi Peña Photography caught up with our Maharani as she got ready for her unforgettable day. Before she can head down the aisle, she has to pose for her first look portraits and give her groom a glimpse of her gorgeous ceremony look. She's sparkling in her traditional red bridal lengha and her glamorous headpiece. Now that our bride is all put together and she's shared one last moment with her Prince as an unmarried couple, it's time for them to make their way to their ceremony. For more details on this bride's look, check out the gallery.

The bride, on meeting her Raja:

"I met Keyur, the love of my life, at college. We both attended the University of Massachusetts (Amherst). We dated for six years before we tied the knot. I realized he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life. Our friendship kept growing and before we knew it we were in love."

On his proposal:

"One Valentines Day, I was away for the weekend, but when I got back my room was filled with a dozen red roses with chocolate covered strawberries. Rose petals all over the floor and bed along with Hershey Kisses. On the wall was a poster that read, "Now that I've kissed the ground you walk on (Hershey kisses), showered you with flowers, will you be mine valentine?! My heart just melted and I knew he was the one for me!"

On selecting her lengha:

"I love Pinterest and that's where I found some of my inspiration. My mom went to India and she picked out my outfit along with one of my closest friends and bridesmaid. They would send me pictures and facetime me. I saw many outfits, but just fell in love with the red lengha with gold work. For the reception we found a lengha from New Jersey. I turned the two piece lengha into a gown with a u shaped back with strands of crystals!"

On her hair and makeup:

"I knew for the wedding I wanted to have my hair up and my makeup to look more natural and traditional.

For the reception I wanted my hair curled and off to the side so everyone can see the back of the dress. For make up I wanted my eyes to pop the most so eye-shadow was my main concern."

You don't want to miss out on the ceremony coming up! See you there!
