Dearborn, MI Fusion Indian Wedding by Flourish Photography

When Angelin and William decided to make their union forever, it was only a matter of time before the wedding planning would come at lightning speed! Angelin had a vision - and her vision was big! A vision this big requires a lot more time and planning and Melissa Marie Events was on board to spearhead the very important task of fusion wedding planning. It is no surprise that every single guest was blown away with every detail of the reception held at the Lovett Hall following the wedding ceremony. Guests were ushered into the first floor of the luxurious venue at The Henry Ford Museum for cocktails and the hypnotic tunes of a jazz band. The bride and groom made their grand entrance shortly after to the sweeping sounds of E3 Detroit. All the gorgeous floral that you see in these images were plucked by Bellisario Florist. We need to take a moment of silence for the most colossal wedding cake we have seen to date! Baked to perfection by Sweet Dreams Bakery, this designer concoction just blew guests away! Each layer of this cake was designed with lux and glam in mind. We can’t wait for Epic Motion to release the cinematic experience to Maharani Weddings so we can share them with you all! The night ended with guests packed on the dance floor as they enjoyed location Michigan favorites Guernsey Ice Cream, Sander's hot fudge, and Faygo floats! Head into the gallery for more curated images by Flourish Photography surely to inspire you for your big day!

We return to Maharani and Angelin’s wedding celebration with a western ceremony taking place at the auspicious First Congregational Church of Detroit. The bride got ready with the beauty team Borrowed and Blue Weddings who added the right amount of pop to make this natural beauty glow. During her search for the perfect white dress, the bride located the perfect bridal wear for her ceremony. Angelin’s custom designed piece was an eye-catching, appliqued lace, short sleeved dress with a dramatic tiered train. Angelin’s bridesmaids were all color coordinated in matching red and gold saris with embroidered silk blouses. The special touch of sequins scattered around the garment added a charming touch. One of the most treasured memories of the day was the first look and William couldn’t keep his eyes off his future bride! Guests were equally captivated by the bride as she walked down the aisle of the First Congregational Church of Detroit on the arms of her father. With ornate architectural designs, grand ornamentation and symbolism, this venue was the most culture rich room to exchange vows in. Melissa Marie Events executed a series of unforgettable events with modern sophistication and we are swooning over the images in the gallery captured by Flourish Photography!

Dearborn, MI Fusion Indian Wedding by Flourish Photography

I have never traveled to Michigan so it’s always exciting to put together an editorial feature of an Indian wedding out of the delightful state. Today’s celebration is a fusion wedding that encompasses class, luxury and Bollywood flair. Welcome to Maharani Angelin and William’s out of this world celebration! Hailing from two different backgrounds, the bride and groom encompassed pieces of their background into their sangeet, western ceremony, and reception - all three events were held at different locations. The couple both live in New York, but wanted  to ensure that the location of the wedding was in Michigan where Angelin grew up. As many guests arrived from out of town, the couple opted to hold their Sangeet night at The Henry. The night consisted of two different family backgrounds merging into one as guests danced the night away to Bollywood tunes and enjoyed Indian food. Planning two different events requires a lot more coordination and the bride knew that she would need to enlist a stellar planner. Melissa Marie Events was on board in making this Maharani’s dreams come true. Wedding planning services should include both sides of the bride and groom's individual styles and this stellar team made it happen. Don’t take our word for it! Head into the gallery captured by Flourish Photography to check out this fusion wedding yourself.

Troy, MI Indian Wedding by Capturing Arts

Welcome back to our last feature of the day! Sonia is bringing it in with a bang and we loved every element of her Hindu and Sikh wedding. Petruzzellos had their work cut out for them as they hosted two separate ceremonies which was followed by a cocktail hour and the reception party. However, the series of events appear to have run seamlessly and each picture shot by Capturing Arts look oh so memorable! The bride donned a turquoise green lengha with intricate silver design. For her grandeur bridal outfits, Sonia shopped at Frontier Heritage. The retail chain boasts numerous bridal designs fit for any wedding palette. Hardev looked dapper as ever in a slim fit suit with a matching turquoise tie that embodied fashion and flair. The spacious ballroom was brimming with illuminating lighting in shades of purple and pink by DJ Harry who also took charge of the dance floor. Guests were treated to traditional Indian cuisine catered by Rangoli and many clamored for seconds. The reception party marked the beginning of Sonia and Hardev’s life and we are so happy that can forever memorialize their union in the gallery.

We head into Sonia’s Hindu wedding where Petruzzellos has mastered both the event design business as well hosting an auspicious Indian event. The various ceremonies were all planned to the T by the lovely staff at the  venue. Not only did they plan an intimate Sikh ceremony, it was time the setup for the Hindu ceremony was rich in tradition. The bride kept in tune with her pretty in pink wedding theme and slipped into a gorgeous pink and blue lengha from Frontier Heritage. The customary tradition that including both of their parents, took place on a red stage draped with glittery, satin sheets. With fourteen years under their belt, Sonia and Hardev finally reunited as one while maintaining and preserving both of their upbringings. Head into the Pinterest inspired gallery for more pics by Capturing Arts to help start the inspiration ball for your big day!
