Happy Wednesday, Maharanis! Tracie Domino Events planned a fabulous Indian fusion wedding at the historic Loews Don CeSar Hotel in Florida for us today, and we're kicking things off with the adorable first look portraits Kimberly Photography took! Our Maharani started her day by getting a flawless hair and makeup look from KyleLynn Weddings; then, she put on her gorgeous custom-made bridal lengha and went to meet her Raja! Kimberly Photography beautifully captured every tender moment of the lovebirds' first look; check out those photos below and visit the full gallery for more!
Maharani Amy on meeting her Raja:
"We met playing kickball in New York City! I work in the music industry and he was an investment banker and we would never have crossed paths otherwise! Sahil was our kickball captain."
On the romantic proposal:
"Sahil proposed at the top of Runyon Canon in LA. After two and a half years of long distance from NYC to Chicago, we were out visiting LA to look for new apartments and he wanted to start our lives together in the new city we would call home."
On their wedding style:
"Our wedding style was an Indian fusion mix of vibrant traditional Indian colors and details for our Pujas and Hindu ceremony. Our hotel was a beautiful historic hotel from the 1920s. We had art deco touches tied into the reception, which was a traditional American reception. We had the florals stick with the bright colors to tie in the Indian vibe throughout the day and give a feel of cohesiveness. I wanted the colors to be the bright colors you typically see in Indian weddings. I started with pink and orange and built on that. I love the warmth and brightness they bring that you don't often see at a standard American wedding."
We can't wait to see Suhaag Garden's fabulous decor at the ceremony next!
