Last fall, we brought you this charming engagement shoot in Jersey City by the incredibly talented Charmi Pena Photography, and that very same bride-to-be, Saheli, is now officially a Mrs! Thanks to KSD Weddings' stunning coverage and editing skills, we are able to share her and her new hubby, Anand's, phenomenal wedding film with you today! The Hyatt Regency Princeton hosted the fabulous affair, and Wedding Design took charge of the fantastic floral and decor details. A MUA from Pink Orchid Studio shows off her adept beauty skills with some serious makeup marvels (the winged liner is amazing!) and Maharani Saheli rocks some major bridal fashions. Watch as she gets down on the dance floor, with the help of B4U DJs, at her wedding reception — she can really move in that dress!
Maharani Saheli on what she loved most about planning her dream wedding:
"I loved bonding with my family over planning and choosing items; all of a sudden my otherwise traditional father became very interested in charger plates and linen color. We never knew he had so many opinions on textures of chivari chairs!"
On choosing her wedding saris:
"I opted to wear a very traditional Bengali red Benarasi wedding sari. We bought it from the same classic Calcutta store as generations of women in our family; the uncleji who helped my mother pick out her wedding sari did the same for me. As for my reception gown, I just wanted something that wasn't a lengha."
On her bridal jewelry choices:
"Most of my jewelry is from Sona Jewelers in Edison, NJ. They are so helpful to create custom pieces and looks especially since we were trying to channel the traditional Bengali bride. I opted to wear alta and not mehndi, my brother and sister put it on for me morning of the ceremony."
I have an extra Filmy treat for you today at 3pm, so make sure to join me then.
