After showing us all the vivid details of the sensational sangeet ceremony—which was divinely decorated by Deepti's Floral Designs & Mandaps, Samson Productions takes us to the day of the big Indian wedding! Behold the beautiful bride getting all gussied up for her special day! Beauty By NG Nida Gazi dolls up Priyam's almond-shaped eyes in winged out black liner, along with gold and chocolate brown shadows. Her cheeks are lightly dusted with a peach blush and highlighted with a subtle shimmer. The luscious lips are stained, and the hair is swept-back so the double-strand maang tikka falls flawlessly into place! Hinal's Beauty Studio dresses up our Maharani's hands with a majestic mehndi design that flows up her bangle'd arms. I must say that Priyam makes for a breathtaking bride! From the bride, on the lenghas:
"All my wedding outfits were from Mumbai. My bridesmaids sarees, Sangeet and Wedding lehngas were designed by Meenakshi Patel who was a dream to work with. She is very collaborative and we both spent hours sketching all the outfits. She even had fabric samples that we put together to get an idea of what the final product would look like. We used different fabrics to suit each event - a light georgette so I could dance freely at the sangeet/garba, elegant raw silk for the wedding ceremony and breezy net/brocade for my bridesmaids so they didn't feel too restricted. My mehendi and reception outfits were from local Mumbai stores and we must have checked out a million stores before finding the right ones. I really wanted to buy stuff that I could wear later on to other people's events as well. I would hate to see such beautiful outfits collect dust in the closet."
On the hair and makeup:
"I can't praise Nida Gazi from Beauty By NG, my hair and make up stylist, enough. She is not only amazing at what she does, but truly a calming force. We had a slight hiccup the night before the wedding and I was visibly stressed while she was getting me ready the next day. Until the matter resolved, she was my rock. She made sure I had everything I needed and was constantly joking around to distract me. In terms of styling, I had sent her some pictures of hairstyles I liked but I really left the make up looks up to her. After all, she's the expert! She works so well with the indian skin tone and she made sure that I had a distinct look for every event. I wanted to make sure that I looked like myself but stood out as the bride at the same time. My cousins/friends who also got married around the same time have also worked with her and she's more a friend than anything else now."
The wedding shots are straight ahead!
