Hit Maker Films is treating us to this delightful duo of ceremonies at the luxurious Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, California, and you are going to fall for the lovely couple within seconds. With two separate vow exchanges to celebrate both their Hindu and Sikh faiths, this Anaïs Event Planning & Design planned Indian wedding features some spectacular moments, which have all been captured beautifully in this highlight reel. And, two ceremonies also means double the bridal fashion in this case! You'll get to see Maharani Jessica in a traditional, brilliant red bridal lengha for the Sikh event and a magnificent maroon-colored wedding sari for her Hindu I dos — and let me just say, she dazzles in both. The bridesmaids complement her looks stylishly in their saris of varying green hues, and when they're all together, it really is a picture perfect sight to behold. Lastly, this Princess rocks the most amazing purple and pink reception lengha that you're going to definitely go ga-ga for. It's seriously stunning. The bride, on how she met the Raja of her dreams:
"We met in graduate school in North Carolina, on the very first day of the program in 2011. We had an immediate connection and everything naturally evolved in our relationship! Our first real date was a month after we first met. Graduate school can be a whirlwind experience, meeting so many people and being thrown into a lot of new situations. At the restaurant that night, we both felt at peace and ease by being around each other. It felt like coming home each time we saw each other after that and our love and adventures blossomed throughout that first year at Duke."
On the super romantic proposal:
"It was the most perfect day starting with a hike at Rodeo Beach! He surprised me with the big question, made me cry, we hysterically laughed as we sat on the beach having the most lovely picnic, and ended the day with all of our friends back in San Francisco. We were outdoors with each other and then with our favorite people and we couldn’t have been happier."
On her wedding style:
"We envisioned a playful, beautiful fusion North and South Indian wedding. As for the decor, we wanted people to feel like they were attending our Indian wedding in Northern California. We were going for a magical, rustic ambiance despite the super energy and bright colors of an Indian wedding; not to mention, we had a lot to think about given we had two ceremonies representing both our Sikh and Hindu faiths. It was a destination wedding for 90% of our guests so we wanted to be outdoors as much as possible. We also hoped for both of our quirks and personalities to show through the little things."
On what she enjoyed most about planning the wedding of her dreams:
"We were both very involved and so were our families. The best part was having each person play their role in the process. We loved exploring the Bay Area together to find the perfect venue and coming back home and deliberating. We're both very detail oriented people and love seeing things come together so it was enjoyable planning with each other and our parents."
On choosing her wedding lengha(s):
"We went to India and entrusted our very fashionable, knowledgable family. We both spent a bit of time thinking about colors we loved and styles. But, honestly, once we got to India, none of that mattered as much. It felt serendipitous around what piece of fabric and which lengha was laying out when we walked into each shop. Sometimes, leaving somethings up to mystery is worth it!!"
On her most memorable wedding celebration moments:
"A 5 day wedding weekend made for very many special moments. Our mehendi party a few days before the wedding was so intimate and really memorable."
On the role the family and friends played in helping her achieve her dream day:
"We had friends help us with pieces of the decor, from designing the wine bottles and tea favors. We had family help in so many ways!"
On Anais Events:
"Amrit from Anais Events helped us brainstorm and execute creative ideas throughout!"
We still have one more amazing film to look forward to today, so don't say bye just yet! We'll be back in a flash!
