Maharanis, you just saw our top 2012 picks for destination Indian wedding and fusion Indian wedding. Now I am proud to present our choice for ballroom reception!

We published this on Valentine’s Day for a good reason: it’s so gosh darned romantic! This Maharani’s festivities begin with a vibrant sangeet and wedding ceremony, but what really takes it home is this incredible Indian wedding receptionJoe Photo takes us into the ballroom, which is elegantly designed by Chic Productions and 2Create Designs. The backdrop for the couple’s sweetheart table is breathtaking with its wallpaper motif, green moss and fresh flowers. The floral centerpieces and thoughtful table setting just makes this space truly inspired. Bravo!

We just reviewed one of our favorite destination Indian weddings of 2012…now let’s see one of our top fusion Indian weddings!

Fusion Indian weddings have been a huge trend, and we know why. Simply put: a Maharani shouldn’t be confined to the limits of a traditional wedding — she can do anything her heart desires!

For this Hall of Fame winner from June, this Maharani begins her union with an outdoor Indian wedding at New Jersey Botanical Garden, The Castle at Skylands Manor. Dressed in a pink bridal lengha, the bride honors her Indian heritage under a blush pink mandap decked out by Elegant Affairs Inc.. But the fun continues as the Indian bride slips into a Western-style white wedding gown with a long lace veil for her second ceremony. Check out these stunning images by AGAiMAGES below!

Maharanis — can you believe it? It’s almost been a full 365 days of Indian weddings at MW headquarters! As we wrap up 2012, it’s time to raise a glass of bubbly and toast all the Maharanis who’ve shared their special event with us. We believe every Indian wedding we feature brings a special somethin’-somethin’ to the table, and I hope our wedding blog continues providing inspiration to all every Indian bride-in-training in the coming year!

That said, let’s review a few of our fave Indian weddings of 2012!

First up: a destination wedding that starts in New Delhi and ends in Washington D.C.! The Indian wedding begins with a lovely pink Sikh ceremony that is designed Abu Janni. Photographed by CBArt Photography & Cinematography, the Indian wedding floral and decor is simply TO. DIE. FOR! (I mean, look at that flower chandelier!)

And that’s just the beginning! Maharani Shivani and Raja Rueben’s outdoor Indian wedding reception – complete with fireworks and celebrity musicians — leads the way to a uber elegant ballroom reception set at D.C.’s National Building Museum. This union def goes down in the books as one of our fave Indian weddings — PERIOD!

Don’t go away. Next is a pick for Maharani Weddings’ top FUSION Indian wedding of 2012!

Maharanis, we hope this Sunday finds you rested, cozy and excited to jump into another Sweetheart Sunday post! Today’s duo met at spiritual camp in Dallas a little over two years ago, and are scheduled to tie the knot in just six days! For this engagement shoot, f8studio captured the fun-loving spirit of these lovebirds as they frolicked among tall grass and leafy trees. The secluded location creates a feeling of wonderful intimacy — how could you not smile at these two??

Our last Indian wedding film of 2012 brings us to Atlanta, Georgia for an incredible  fusion ceremony and reception. Christopher Brock Photography takes us to Maharani Deepika and groom Varun’s big day, which begins with two wedding ceremonies and ends with an energetic dance party! True to her Georgia peach nature, the Maharani wears a peach wedding lengha with amazing silver beading to her first ceremony.  Meanwhile, Fusion Event Planning has carried out the vision of a modern setting with minimal draped fabrics and gorgeous florals. My favorite part is seeing the groom’s party dance right up to the mandap and the humongous  jaimalas — you can’t miss this!

If you missed any of the Indian wedding loveliness this week, here are a few of my favorite posts:

Have a wonderful weekend Maharanis!!!
