Happy Sunday Maharanis! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend as this fall chill descends upon us! But if you need a little something “aw” to make you cozy, I have our first winner of our Sweethearts Sunday contest. Meet Mitesh and Hinal, who met began their international friendship (and then courtship!) on Shaadi.com. They wanted their engagement shoot to be fun, yet romantic and relaxed, so the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles was the perfect solution. This sunset engagement sesh from Indian Wedding Snap showcases the perfect mix of romance and the couple’s spontaneous personalities!

Tune in tomorrow for another five days of beautiful Indian wedding inspiration!

After our last Indian wedding film that left us in tears, we head to Elkhart, Indian to lighten things up. My favorite wedding cinematography pieces combine music, ambient (or natural) sound and speeches, which is exactly what this lovely two-day wedding video does. It’s rare you get to witness the labor intensive set-ups behind Indian weddings, so I love that Delack Media Group showed all the hard work  vendors like Drish Couture Events put into making it all just “magically” appear.

In between laughing at the Maharani’s father’s speech (he is a riot!), be sure to check out the gorgeous lighting by Precision Sound & Lighting and everyone’s lovely clothes! Personally, I think the bride’s lengha at the garba is to. die. for.

If you missed any of the Indian wedding lovelyness this week, here are a few of my favorite posts :

Friends and family eagerly await for the groom’s arrival at the baraat.

An outdoor Indian fusion wedding dripping with “floating” flower garlands.

A beautiful Indian bride frolics in the woods for some lovely wedding portraits.

For our second Indian wedding film, grab your sunscreen as we head to beautiful Hawaii! You can’t beat the warm weather and island scenery, which makes this Kauai, Hawaii wedding from FishEye Studio just perfection. We meet Amit and Bhumi, who are so transparently in love. You’ll melt seeing Maharani Bhumi watch her honey perform a drum solo at their garba, and you will be on the floor when you witness their first look! If you’ve ever wondered what “the look of love” actually translates to…this is it!

Despite the h-o-t weather on the wedding day, it didn’t stop any of these revelers from throwing up their hands and shaking their tail feathers. According to Fish Eye Studio, the cinematographers had to be completely alert to capture the spontaneous dancing and rejoicing. Special thanks goes to Mira Savera Events, who did a fantastic job of throwing together this stunning affair!

Stay tuned for our next Indian wedding film from Elkhart, Indiana.

It may be Friday everywhere else on the Web, but at Maharani Weddings, it’s Filmy Friday!  I have two great Indian wedding videos to show you, and the first comes straight out of Atlanta, Georgia. This summertime union lit up the Atlanta History Center where everyone strutted their stuff from the fierce baraat to the gorgeous reception party. The latter is my favorite part of the video, with its lovely violet lighting and boisterous dancing underscored with music and entertainment by Indaglow ProductionsWalkOnWater Productions captures all the festivities, while mixing in the more intimate moments of the couple’s union. Maharanis, I introduce to you Jenika and Kushal!

Next up we drop into lovely Hawaii for another fabulous Indian wedding!

After a lovely Indian wedding ceremony in the lobby of South Carolina’ s Embassy Suites Greenville, this wedding party invades the ballroom for a lively reception. We know how much this couple likes to shake their groove thang, so Studio Uma takes a moment to enjoy QT with the newlyweds before the night gets carried away. For the event, Maharani Ambika spices things up as she changes from her red bridal lengha into a lovely nectarine sari. She sports a low side ponytail to show off her scoop back choli – ooh-la-la!

If you love whimsical cakes, you’re going to appreciate Art Eats Bakery‘s tower of tassled wedding cake pillows! “[They] created an awesome egg-less cake that many people initially mistook for a real stack of pillows!” said Maharani Ambika.

We’ll meet you back here for tomorrow’s three amazing Filmy Friday features!
