We head back to the States for our second featured Indian wedding film of Filmy Friday: a breathtaking outdoor Indian wedding on Long Island, New York. I love the style of this Timeless Films‘ wedding video. If I had one adjective to describe it, I’d say it’s very cool. In two words? Cool and artsy. The soundtrack is a atmospheric lounge mix that incorporates ambient sound from the wedding, and the visual cutaways are techniques I’ve never seen before!

I highly recommend watching Maharani Roshni and Amit’s wedding film for a truly inspired take on traditional wedding cinematography!

If you missed any of the Indian wedding lovelyness this week, here are a few of my favorite posts :

And my favorite image of the week: a bride gets doused in hairspray to make sure she looks picture perfect for her Indian wedding!

Happy Friday, Maharanis! Today I have a special treat for you, because our first post for Filmy Friday is a double feature! For those who aren’t familiar with a concept wedding video, it’s a short film that incorporates a narrative about the bride and groom. At times it’s not related to the couple’s real life, but I think it’s especially special when it is. Case in point? Our first video from Film-Style Weddings.

This concept video is a gorgeously filmed concept video that introduces us to Maharani Ambreen and groom Javed of Oslo, Norway. The film not only shows us the university where they met, but also captures the playful nature of their relationship as they chase each other through parks and even bowl a few rounds! The Film-Style Weddings crew spent up to four days to film “Vadiyyan”, and put it together in ONE day in order to show it at the couple’s wedding — WOW!

Now let’s take a look at Ambreen and Javed’s next day edit wedding video! The film captures all the vibrancy and energy of the wedding festivities: from the horse-drawn baraat to the synchronized dancing. I must say, Maharani Ambreen looks ravishing on her big day!

Next up we have a Long Island, New York Indian wedding video that you MUST see!

Sea foam green is my favorite color of all time, and I’ve been anxiously waiting to see a Maharani don this beautiful color! Maharani Ashley takes a bit of her beach side Indian wedding ceremony with her as she enters her evening reception at San Diego’s Hotel Del CoronadoEthnic Essence Couture Events creates a jaw-dropping display of color with pale yellow and violet details across the ballroom. When dancers from Jewels that Raq weren’t entertaining guests with their entrancing performances, Riamu Entertainment made sure guests shook their groove thing on the dance floor.

Phew — what a lovely Indian wedding! We’re back tomorrow with another installment of Filmy Friday you must see!

There’s something about Maharani Ashley and groom Dipan that is just so likable: I think it’s their smiles that radiate genuine excitement — it’s infectious! Braja Mandala Wedding Photography documents our happy couple as they become man and wife under a beautiful fabric mandap. But even with all the gorgeous flourishes, I must confess my favorite part of their wedding altar are those stunning chairs (Ethnic Essence Couture Events, where did you find those beauties?!). It’d be hard not to feel like royalty in those plush works of art!

Up next is a colorful Indian wedding reception that you’re definitely going to want to attend!

These gorgoues photos from Braja Mandala Wedding Photography reminds me I need a beach vacation…and stat! Ethnic Essence Couture Events, who executed the planning, design and the florals, went above and beyond for this outdoor Indian wedding. San Diego’s Hotel Del Coronado is turned into a seaside paradise fit for a Maharani with bountiful flower displays and beaded accents. Guests, who were seated in a half circle around the mandap, kept cool under orange parasols while sipping on refreshing drinks made with fresh fruits. And just beyond view are white sandy beaches and the calming Pacific Ocean — if you’re going to have a seaside Indian wedding, Maharanis, this is the way to go!

Have you got your fruity drink in hand, Maharanis? It’s time to get this Indian wedding ceremony rolling!
