We are going to start this glorious Wednesday with a sweet and sophisticated reception by Aaroneye Photography.  I am completely inspired by this turquoise color palette, and with spring time around the corner, I might need to sneak it into my Easter table.  And, if that isn’t enough to get your wedding engines started this morning, just take one look at our Maharanis lovely eyelashes.  Trust me, you will want to book an appointment for extensions once you take a look at these babies!

More Indian wedding inspiration on the way!

As if this wedding or couple couldn’t get any cuter, but it did! Maharani Jasmeet and Vikram, dressed to impress in a stunning gold sari and a handson suit, had their reception at Terrace on the Park in Queens. It was decorated with tall, gorgeous white & yellow centerpieces and a gorgeous white cake that I can’t stop drooling over. And to add to the reception’s appeal? The incredible NY sunset! And no Sikh wedding could ever be complete without a dholi, so of course Jasmeet and Vikram had one to help get their guests on their feet, dancing the night away!

Congratulations to Jasmeet and Vikram from everyone at Maharani Weddings!

Thank goodness BnB Photography was there to take photos of this incredible cocktail party because if someone had told me that there was going to an area decorated with delicious and tasty food and tables covered in colorful bangles and an awesome miniature dholi as a centerpiece, I wouldn’t have believed it! Not only does all the food make me hungry for lunch, but there are juicy watermelons that have a full side carved into two doves whose beaks form a heart. Needless to say, this foodie is in heaven! And let’s not even get me started on the miniature dholi – such a fun and creative idea! I hope Maharani Jasmeet doesn’t mind if I pin that to my Pinterest board and save it for me someday! And finally, one thing that goes without saying? Our couple, Jasmeet and Vikram. A simply beautiful pair that makes me want to say “Well done Cupid!”

Coming up next is our beautiful couple’s reception so be sure to come back in just a little while!

There is just so much pink here that I don’t know what to do with it, but I absolutely love it! The consistency from Maharani Jasmeet’s beautiful off-white and pink bridal outfit to her bridesmaids’ outfits to her parents’ outfits to even the lovely decorations at the mandap have been done so well. It may be quite a bit of pink, but it’s done so tastefully that it’s not overwhelming the guests or us! But the consistency doesn’t stop there. Vikram had his groomsmen in Indian outfits with royal blue dupattas and that color itself transferred over to his parents, his mother in a beautiful blue outfit and his dad with a blue dupatta. Remember Maharanis, in every event that you have, keep things ranging from color to decor consistent! It avoids overwhelming your guests and creates a much better feel!

Stay tuned, we’ve got the cocktail party coming up next!

Good morning Maharanis! Today’s Long Island wedding is one that will keep you coming back for more, especially when you see our Maharani Jasmeet’s bridal outfit! It’s an off-white churidar with details of silver and the perfect shade of pink in all the right spots, giving you an absolutely elegant feel. But that’s not all. The bouquet with the dark pink roses, the fabulous shimmering heels and golden kaliras are enough to make any girl fall out of her chair, including this one! BnB Photography did such a wonderful job capturing all those tiny details, especially Jasmeet’s dark red mendhi! Remember the old saying, the darker the mendhi, the more your husband will love you? From the looks of it, Jasmeet’s hubby Vikram is going to be bursting with love for her. It definitely seems like it in the photos of him with his groomsmen – he’s so excited!

So much more coming your way so take a quick chai break and meet me back here in just a few!
