San Diego Indian Wedding by Lin and Jirsa

Thanks to the amazing work of Wedding Elegance by Nahid, every detail of this reception was executed with perfection.  The mesmerizing and transformative lighting, the elegant pure white embellished sari and all the fun Maharani Tania had with her new hubby, Dinesh was captured perfectly by Lin and Jirsa Photography.  How could they not have fun? There was a live band, O.C.P. or Out of Control Punjabis, and a dance troupe.  As a matter of fact,  not only did the newlywed couple surprise all of their guests by participating in the routine but as a sweet surprise to the groom... Tania even sang a special song just for him!

And that's a wrap.  Congratulations to Tania and Dinesh!

San Diego Indian Wedding by Lin and Jirsa Photography

A dream come true, this Hindu Punjabi couple, wanted a celebration that reflected their romance--a natural blossoming. And from these beautiful images by Lin and Jirsa Photography, we can see that thanks to the brilliant work of wedding coordinater, Nahid Farhoud of Wedding Elegance, this is exactly what they got!  The decor included a lot of natural elements, like tree branches in the mandap and naturaly orange and rust colors.  I especially love the fun, vibrant jai malas that match her fuschia pink and orange lengha oh-so-well.  This is one creative wedding full of natural beauty!

Stay tuned for the reception!

Amazing Southern California Reception by Grand Design Photography

And we have finally arrived at our big finale! This entire wedding has been about the details, both big and small, and the reception was no different! Let's first begin with the tiny details on Maharani Shavreen's cream and dark blue colored reception lengha. There's just so much work on there that I don't know where to look first, but I do know that I absolutely love the outfit, not to mention those shimmering gold heels! The two signs that say "Mr. Gill" and "Mrs.Gill," the navy blue and yellow accented pillows and the cupcakes that spell out Rajeev and Shavreen's name are just sensational. These tiny details give a glimpse into our happy couple's personalities, giving off a much more intimate feeling at the event.

From the bride:
The wedding was a traditional four day event with a western flair.  Growing up with a strong Punjabi background but being a true All American Girl, I wanted to incorporate both my indian and american cultures.  I also wanted to make sure my family's wishes of following all traditions were answered while adding a bit of my personal touch.  Thus, I added my personal touch by incorporating a shabby chic theme into a traditional wedding and did so with burlap banners, fun flowers such as daisies and carnations, milk vases and mason jars.  The colors for the wedding ceremony were traditional red with a pop of aqua.  The reception colors were blue and gold because my husband is a CAL alumni and I am a UCLA alumni.  We both love our blue & gold and wanted to incorporate it into our wedding weekend.  It was definitely a difficult task since our wedding was an 800+ person affair but my vendors were amazing in every step of the process.  A unique touch I added to my wedding was by honoring my dad, whom we lost to cancer 7 years ago, by having a memorial charm tile dangle from my bouquet.  All in all, the pictures capture the wedding best: Colorful, Vibrant, Loving Family & Friends, Fantastic Food & Pure Happiness!

Congratulations to the happy couple! See you tomorrow Maharanis!

Hindu Punjabi Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa

If you fell for her gorgeous blingy gold shoes like I did, just wait until you see this ring.  This brilliant round-cut diamond with pave diamonds in a halo is just so pretty, and it's beauty has been captured so well by Lin and Jirsa Photography.  And lucky for us the beauty doesn't end there.  One look at this glowing Maharani and I'm left breathless.    From her make-up to her jewelry to her beautiful smile, every aspect comes together so well in that oh-so-pretty pinkish-purple color.  Now, here comes her baraat to whisk her away!

Meet me right back here for the ceremony next!
