We have had an amazing week on Maharani Weddings, from gorgeous Indian weddings photography to our beloved Maharani of the Month Contest. {Voting ends today people, so make sure you rock your vote!}  And, now we have got another super fabulous cinematography treat for you from VHVIDEO.COM.  Orlando, Florida sets the stage for this beautiful Indian wedding, and let me just warn you it is full to the brim with ideas and details.  As much as I am a sucker for dazzling décor, what I absolutely fell head over heels for was the cinematography magic of VHVIDEO.COM.  With their amazing camera skills, of course they got all the tear jerking shots, but what put me over the top was the way they edited and added musicality to this Same Day Edit.  Just take a look in the first few moments – the ring shot is out of control!

Just in case you missed some of our Maharani-ness this week here are some of my favs :

This fabulous entrance from the bride at this SF City Hall Indian wedding.

I LOVE these flower malas.

And, I am still awe-struck by the beautifully organic photography style of Alison Yin Photography.

To make your Friday fly by, here are a few fun links from around the web:

True Story : My husband remodeled our house and made me live there for 2 weeks with no bathroom!  I deserve this shower head, and in case anyone wants to know I showered at the gym.

For any girl who has champagne taste and a beer budget like me, I am going to try this DIY glitter shoe instead of saving up for the Choo!

And, finally, I am on a mission to find the perfect red lipstick!

Happy Friday Maharanis!  After a glorious week of Indian wedding ideas, I am pumped to kick off another Film-y Friday.  Even though October starts tomorrow, I still have my eyes on those summer Indian weddings.  And, when you see the citrus theme for this one, I am sure that you are going to love the whimsical details as much as I do! I mean, what else would be the theme for an Orange County Indian wedding reception?  This darling reception décor was flawlessly designed and executed by Pink Rock Events and Shawna Yamamoto Event Design. Aside from the stunning florals and linens, they infused the citrus theme into the candy station, sugar rims of signature cocktails, and even a lemonade stand!  Lucky for us Charles Lauren Films filmed all this bright, juicy goodness for us to enjoy!

More on the way!

Before we call it an end to this vibrant day, we have a little treat up our sleeves.  Photography by Asiya sent us this New York Walima, and it was love at first sight.  I am always partial to a bride matching her party, but when I saw this all white palette The Design House did for this bride, I almost fell out of my chair.  What a great way to make a bride stand out even more!  Carefully accented with a few orchids and some soft blue lighting, this Walima might just be the inspiration for my Diwali party!

Have a great night Maharanis and I will see you tomorrow for some Film-y Friday fun!

With a bride as beautiful as Sahina, it is only fitting that her wedding day be equally as gorgeous.  The talented team at The Design House completely rocked this New York Indian wedding with their signature lighting and modern flare.  Just take a look at the stage.  Dripping with crystals, kissing balls, and candles it is making the Maharani maniac inside me come out at full force. As Rachel Zoe would say, “It’s totally MAJ.” And, I hadn’t even mentioned the wedding cake yet. As stunning as the décor is, nothing tops the sweet sentimental stories that Sahina shared about her wedding.  They make my heart melt, and I know that her family will enjoy reminiscing about the wedding stories for years to come.  I mean, isn’t that what it is really about anyhow?!

I am going to do a costume change because we have the Walima coming up next.  Back in a flash!

In my humble opinion, there is nothing more beautiful than a bride getting ready for her wedding day.  There is a magical light that shines from within them and I fall in love with each and every bride that comes across my desk.  And, today’s New York Indian wedding by Katha Images is no exception.  Not only am I completely enamoured by Sahina’s beautiful bridal lengha, set, and churis, but I am smitten with Andrew Adam’s gorgeous images that captured the Maharani perfectly.  But, what I really love about this Maharani is a tiny tid bit in her paragraph below.  A Maharani Tip : Keep your cool on your wedding day. With all the moving parts, something always gets mixed up in the shuffle.  Just keep calm, smile, and carry on….it’s your wedding day after all!

From Maharani Sahina :

The wedding was orchestrated by The Design Studio (Shadi Paradise) after having tons of OCD meetings with tons of pictures which I copied to my desktop from Maharaniweddings.com. My initial meeting with them was with my laptop where I showed about 50 photos from your Maharani Weddings (which was amusing to them). I wanted to go for a royal yet classy yet funky theme where there would be touches of personality in them. Thus the message bottles, flip books and pictures from our E-session on the table. Our entry was the hardest thing to come up with. After seeing so many different ways to make an entrance we thought whats us? And finally I realized of the time Sajed and I took a rickshaw ride back in Bangladesh and it was all perfect from then. There were fun parts of the wedding like there being a dance-off at the end to get back the groom’s shoes from my side and my father in law accidentally saying his own name when he says I’m glad Sahina married my son “insert his name” and most important thing; driving myself to my wedding. Yes. I drove my SUV to my wedding since my family was in such a panic that they forgot to leave a driver for me.

I can’t believe she drove herself to her WEDDING?!  That’s just adorable!  More coming right up!
