Washington DC Reception by Darling Photographers

When people ask me what my favorite colors are, my response is "platinum and gold," with a smile.  Maybe I stole this answer from a John Legend song, but I can't think of any answer more Maharani than that!  Actually... maybe pink and red?  Either way, this Washington DC Reception by Darling Photographers is totally Maharani not just because it has a little bit of each one of those colors, but because it just looks so fabulous! Seriously!  A picture-perfect fabulous pink and gold reception stage, a fantastic purple and blue lengha with gold detail that shimmers under the bright lights... even Uncleji rocked out Maharani style in a gold pine-stripe suit! Take a look!

You know it's a fabulous wedding when even the cake shimmers!
Congratulations to Maharani Devina and Rishi!

Maryland Indian Wedding by Darling Photographers

I always love, love, love those familiar traditional colors of red and gold, but I am sure that you will agree that they are especially gorgeous when they are bridal. It's classic and timeless, and never ceases to amaze me.  I love how Darling Photographers not only captures these colors so elegantly, but each and every special little moment. I can only imagine how truly priceless it is to have an image of those special moments which officially bind two people together for life.  The emotions, the facial expressions, the actions, the movements... it feels so real.  I feel like I am watching Maharani Devina get married all over again!  Take a peek at the pink bridesmaids saris too. They are super adorable--if you can manage to take your eyes off this stunning bride!

Aren't they super cute?
Be right back with a totally Maharani reception!

Washington D.C. Indian Wedding by Darling Photographers

We are over the hump of the week and it's finally Thursday! And I have the perfect wedding by Darling Photographers to complement that end-of-the-week excitement that's brewing inside all of us.  Each and every glistening and glimmering detail has been captured beautifully especially for us to enjoy. Don't believe me?  Well, just take a look at this gorgeous gold jewelry set and stunning haath phool with rubies and diamonds.  One look at those babies and my hearts starts fluttering...especially when you see them against her deep red lengha! And, to finish off this bride's traditional style even her groom's sherwani matches oh-so perfectly!  If you ask me, the weekend has come early, because this is quite possibly the ultimate way to start the day!

And, how adorable are these cute baby-pink bridesmaids sarees? I'm so obsessed with all these little details...Be right back with more!

Glittering Indian Bridal Accessories by Darling Photographers

I have the biggest weakness in the world for jewelry and anything that sparkles for that matter.  So, when I saw these glittering gold peep-toe heels, my eyes lit up immediately.  And believe it or not, just when I thought my eyes couldn't open any wider, they did!  I was tickled to see the way these dazzling shoes matched my all time second favorite piece of bridal jewelry, haath phools.  In case you are wondering, tikkas narrowly beat them out for my gold medal spot.   Anyhoo, there is just something enchanting that has been captured in these images by Darling Photographers. I can't quite put my finger on it...  the creativity, the style, the angles, the frames...Whatever, it may be, these fabulous photos by Darling Photographers show the essence of every girls favorite piece of clothing, shoes!

Stay tuned! I'll be back with the beautiful lengha that went with these shoes!
