We are going to end this Royal wedding week with a traditional, Southern California Indian wedding.  Today’s Film-y Friday finale is a sweet Hindu ceremony, that took place in my hometown of Palos Verdes, California.  This highlight reel by Robles Video makes me a bit homesick for the gorgeous bluffs, sparkling blue water, sunny Southern California skies, and not to mention, mom’s chicken curry, but at the same time I was thrilled to see this Indian bride truly glowing on her wedding day.  If you have a bit of a hangover after watching the wedding glitz & glam of William & Kate, this Indian wedding from Trump National Golf Course will be just the thing to give you a little buzz.

On April 23, 2011, Jitin and Anshita held their Punjabi Hindu ceremony at the Trump National Golf Course in Palos Verdes, California.  This was the fourth day of their five day wedding festivities, and what a celebration they had!  Madiha Khan and her team from Exquisite Events did a fabulous job with pulling the whole event together!

The groom, who is from the UK, arrived for the baraat on Tai the elephant (who plays Rosie, star of 'Water for Elephants').  The family arrived dancing to the sounds of the dhol played by Jag Tooray of Dholnation.  As they approached the ceremony site, you could see the stunning view of the Southern California coastline!  Pundit Arun Dwivedi conducted their traditional Punjabi Hindu ceremony which took place under the white chiffon mandap.

After the ceremony, the guest entered the main ballroom for an elegant evening of dinner, dancing and music by Nauzad Sadry.
