Film-y Friday Kickoff with Moonstruck Productions

I love, love, love getting submissions from new vendors, especially for Film-y Friday.  So, I am thrilled to introduce some fresh, new cinematographers to our Maharani community today.  First up is Moonstruck Productions, based out of O-Hi-O! Their team’s genuine passion and love of Indian weddings comes through in Vishal and Bindu’s highlight reel.  But, the one thing that makes me go nuts for Moonstruck Productions, is that they create that stylishly grainy look by using real Super 8 Film.  It’s quite charming!

More Film-y Friday fun on the way! In the meantime take a whirl around our latest tool : The Maharani Jukebox by AVL Films.  It is filled with our favorite wedding songs that are perfect for helping you set the mood on your big day.  Be right back!

More Film-y Friday Goodness from Chris Watson Studios

From the great state of Texas ( and my current World Series rivals…Go Giants!) comes Chris Watson Studios.  We were thrilled to welcome Chris Watson Studios to the Dallas Platinum Guide because they produce out of the box wedding stories that have a stylish edge.  Their dedication to cinema is clear, and make sure you don’t miss their masterful use of “time shifting” in this video.  It is really what makes this wedding video a fashion statement.

This is such a whimsical wedding!  Not over styled or overdone.  And, I love how our Bangladesh/Muslim bride and Methodist groom had two distinct ceremonies but brought their own traditions to each one.  And, Mehvash’s white sari with veil is drop. dead. gorgeous.

From Chris Watson :

What I like to do in my films is to tell the wedding story through thebride and groom's family and friends. I'll go through the speeches and ceremony(ies) to find soundbites I can use throughout the wedding filmto move the narrative forward and give those words context.

To see exactly what Chris means, take a look at the opening of Mehvash and Robert’s Weddings Story on their blog right here.

Finale on the way....it's a goodie from an old friend!  Be right back!

Film-y Friday Finale by FortyOneTwenty

So, we are here our Film-y Friday finale, and our next wedding is really going to knock your socks off.  FortyOne Twenty put together this highlight reel for Priya and Harsha’s modern Indian wedding.  There are so many things that I love about this wedding.  The bridal lenghas, the reception décor, and especially the jewelry….and I am thrilled to share all the goodness jam packed into a FortyOne Twenty video.  They never miss a detail, and their editing is always on point.  So, sit back and grab a glass of wine…it’s Friday after all!

And, just a reminder Maharanis...we only have a few days left in the Chris Schmitt Photography giveaway, so make sure you take some time this weekend to enter for your chance to win FREE wedding photography!

Happy Halloween!
