It is unseasonally hot in San Francisco these days, so all I can do is think about fall.  Fall brides get to combine the warmth of holiday colors with the vividness of summer colors.  Eggplant, violet, amethyst, or whatever you call it is a fabulous color for indian weddings, especially when paired with lime green.
